That's probably because absol and octillery are to be completely honest crap.
They're cool, but not that great.
Persian is decent, galvantula is cool but super fragile.
Charizard can only use flamethrower effectively and that's it.
Breloom is probably the only decent (in terms of competitive viability) pokemon there.

I have over 10 sets of teams and I can't fucking decide what I want. It always changes.
Right now I have a team full of various Dragon types.
x2 Dragonites (1 physical attacker w/ some electric moves, 1 special attacker w/ some fire moves)
Latios (I ran out of dragon types, and my Latios isn't that great so meh)
Kingdra
Flygon
Hydreigon
Weavile would annihilate your team.
Idgaf, I don't competitive battle and it's extremely rare to see trainers use such things.
Tyranitar counts as a Dragon type due to its awesomeness. Pseudo-legendary teams wreck everything, Lance in HGSS should have had a Tyranitar instead of a fucking Altaria.

Give Blaziken a fighting move; Hi-Jump Kick is awesome and should be on everything that learns it. If BW2 includes a Thunderpunch tutor consideer giving it to it. Hidden Power is not very reliable without IV control, maybe a rock move? Two moves of the same type are not a good choice most of the time, with punctual exceptions. Maybe 3 physical moves and Overheat?
Give Charizard more move variety; either go physical or special. With Physical you have Earthquake, Dragon Claw... And with special, Dragon Pulse and Focus Blast.
Psychic or Psyshock for Alakazam, there is no reason to use Psybeam. Shadow Ball is more consistent than Hidden Power, and is nice for Ghosts.
For Blastoise, choose either Physical or Special. Hyper beam-esque moves are not very reliable, consideer using an Ice move.
Dragonite is better off as a physical or even mixed attacker, and strong Dragon moves are an excellent choice, as just Steel Pokemon resist them. Outrage/Fire Punch/Earthquake/Draco Meteor gets incredible coverage, and a same type Outrage or Draco Meteor outdamages Supereffective Ice Beams and Flamethrowers.
For Raichu, Steel attacks are not a good choice, as Fighting ones cover the same types PLUS Steel and Normal. Try going with Focus Blast. I'd also replace Thunder with Grass Knot, shame it is no longer a TM IIRC. And the Pikachu line should be able to learn Surf more easily as well. And Raichu should be compatible with the Light Ball...

Do you chaps care about both IV's and EV's or just EV's? Last community I was a part of only cared about EV's. As shameless as it may be for me, if I was to bother with IV's, I'd sooner use an AR than get it legit.
Just curious.
IVs are more important that EVs, so yes I care about both.
