My last PO team was this
Milotic is fucking awesome.
Blaziken - Moves: Blaze Kick Fire Blast Hidden Power Aerial Ace Hi Jump kick can replace fire blast. Hidden power can get the hell out in favour of Swords Dance. If you're looking for a hit-like-a-truck move, replace blaze kick with FLARE BLIIIITZ. Charizard - Moves: Fire Blast Flame Burst Fly Hidden Power This is pretty poor, I have to say :( Replace Fly with Air Slash, Both those fire moves can go for Heat Wave to replace it. Substitute can be good if the opponent doesn't have rocks on the field, and if you can get Roost, I would go for it. Alakazam - Moves: Psybeam Energy Ball Focus Blast Hidden Power Not bad, replace Psybeam with Psychic, and Hidden Power with Shadow Ball. Blastoise - Moves: Hydro Cannon Earthquake Focus Blast Surf Hydro Cannon isn't too great, Blastoise is more utility. If you're still using Charizard, get Foresight and Rapid Spin, to help support him. Scald for damage, and Rest to keep him going (Lum berry maybe?) Dragonite - Moves: Thunder Ice Beam Hyper Beam Flamethrower NO HYPER BEAM. Just no. Slap Dergn Dance on him, add dragon claw, brick break, stone edge, bam, amazing set-up sweeper. Raichu - Moves: Thunder Thunderbolt Iron Tail Thunder Wave Lose Thunder Wave, add Nasty Plot if you can. You don't need both Thunder and Thunderbolt, Grass Knot is nice, and Iron Tail can be dropped for Focus Blast maybe?
You don't ever need two moves of the same type, unless you want both X-scissor and U-turn, or something similar, and you should always play to a Pokémon's strengths. Dragonite has very average Special Attack, but his Physical is through the ceiling and he has a great set up move to back that up.
IVs are more important that EVs, so yes I care about both.
The difference between 0 and 31 IVs at lv 100 is of 31 points. The difference between 0 and 252 EVs at lv 100 is of 63 points. I care for both, some OC stuff going on there, but I just PokeGen up some eggs if I want to raise stuff.

Having an IV at 29, 30 or 31 can easily make or break a Pokemon. Yea, you can boost the stat with EVs but perhaps IVs will boost it to the necessary level and you can put the EVs elsewhere. Its extreme tourneyfag shit and a pain to calculate so take it with a grain of salt. [editline]25th March 2012[/editline]
Meta and Viriz got kicked outta UU though.
The team is old, ill rework it one day.
Only in stuff like Speed, where every single point matters, and sometimes HP. Otherwise, they are not THAT important, EVs have a stronger effect. After all, damage has a random multiplier, and crits happen.
Those seem kind of random :v:
Tali is named Tali simply because the color scheme matches Tali from ME, including the glowing yellow eyes and the blue/black color scheme from most of her default suit. EDI at the time of naming was just an "airplane" with AI, unlike [sp]in ME3 where she assumes direct control of a female robo-body.[/sp] I had a full cast of Pokemon named after the various members of your squad in ME2, but most of them have been replaced with improved counterparts [sp]such as my original Typhlosion "SHEPARD" becoming FemShep and then Smas, and "JOKER" becoming Alice (don't ask for an explanation, because I can't think of one =/).[/sp]
Only in stuff like Speed, where every single point matters, and sometimes HP. Otherwise, they are not THAT important, EVs have a stronger effect. Again, any IV may make or break a pokemon, the combination of 31 iv and 252 ev is attack may give it just enough power broke ohko a common defensive Pokemon. Perhaps we can agree upon that they are equally important.
Damage ranging between 0.85 and 1 makes far more of a difference than 2 or 3 IVs, tho.
Fine Ill put it bluntly. IN MY OPINION, IVS ARE MORE IMPORTANT BECAUSE: I dont like wasting EVs on shit that doesn't need it because it has proper IVs
I don't balance stuff out, I pretty much max out 2 stats or so, but yeah, got your point. Don't share it, but I understand it.
I guess I'll chip in my two cents. I think that both EVs and IVs are equally important. Even if you have the "perfect" EV balance, it can be undermined if your IVs are sub-par. In that same respect, if you have perfect IVs but have a terrible EV balance, then your Pokemon would be considered "weaker" in that regard. Because of this, you need a little bit of both to truly come out on top in the competitive field. However, I would like to note that even with the "perfect" EVs and IVs, you should have movesets that complement both your individual pokemon and the rest of your team. Otherwise, all the time that you put into making it into a powerhouse would be put to waste.
i would rather not post my team, considering i use the pokes i like instead of good ones :v:
Let me get my games out and then I'll post mine
Guys what are some good tips for EV training in B/W? I hear it's easier than it was in D/P/P/HG/SS. Is this true? I want a competitive team.
will I lose my sanity if I try soft resetting for a shiny rayquaza?
Just a general tip: know what you are hunting for. I've had friends screw up their training because they would just kill anything that they saw on whatever route they were training on. You are only rewarded effort points (EVs) if you KO the opposing pokemon. If a pokemon shows up that is not "on the menu", just run so that you can avoid wasting your time and effort points. [editline]25th March 2012[/editline]
will I lose my sanity if I try soft resetting for a shiny rayquaza?
Yes, yes you will.
what are IV's and EV's :(
Fine Ill put it bluntly. IN MY OPINION, IVS ARE MORE IMPORTANT BECAUSE: I dont like wasting EVs on shit that doesn't need it because it has proper IVs
We can not spend forever breeding for IVs thanks to PO, so most thought is put into EVs, methinks.
what are IV's and EV's :(
http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/24412/t933626-big-training-guide-evs-ivs-natures-september-6th-edit/#1 You can find stuff about IV's further down.
what are IV's and EV's :(
IVs are randomised, invisible numbers that affect stats marginally, and determine things like Hidden Power. EVs are invisible numbers added to a Pokémon whenever it wins a fight, adding points to a stat depending on which Pokémon it took down, with a maximum of 510 EVs, every 4 adding one stat point.
come out to play you fucking black dragon

I'm thinking about breeding a perfect IV/EV Def+Sp.Atk Slowbro, do I have to breed a Slowpoke with max IV's in those stats to get the Slowbro to have them maxed as well?
IVs: "Even Pokemon of the same level and species are different to each other." EVs: "Trained Pokemon are stronger than wild ones, even at the same level." Evolution just changes the species of a Pokemon, IVs, EVs, nature... remain the same. Ability may change, but that's driven by a hidden value; that's why some Pokemon caught in the 3rd gen changed ability upon evolving in the 4th. Those values are set at birth/wild encounter, and do not change. Anyway, I don't play competitive and just go with my faves, but I still care enough to give them good movesets. My only regret is not realicing I could have given Breloom Focus Punch instead of Superpower; with Spore it is a guaranteed, drawback free blow.
whatever what i have been using And im not gonna stop until i get this bitch

However, whether it is legit or not remains to be seen, seeing as I got it through a trade negotiation.

Goddamn I LOVE AR's see IV's/EV's cheat. It makes breeding for perfect stats so much better!
