Take an additional turn to use and you become vulnerable to one of the most common moves. Not exactly a shining star of a move.
I mostly only ever play against the AI, and I wouldn't use it against anything with Avalanche. Was mostly looking to cover his Electric weakness.
Crab Hammer Hone Claws/Swords Dance/Agility Brick Break/Rock slide X-scissor Speed is nothing special, okay vs physical things. [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] Hone Claws if godly with the acc. of those moves too.
Fuck the DSI and it's lack of a gameboy slot. I wanna play ruby, I know I could just get a emulator, but it feels SO much better to actually hold a gameboy.
whats a good moveset for typhlosion?
whats a good moveset for typhlosion?
Meta or casual? [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] Flamethrower Extrasensory(Egg move) Focus Blast Jesus SP. Typhosion has a shallow move pool use fucking, I dont know, Toxic, or mimic for giggles.
Are your options HIDEOUSLY reduced in serious matches or is it just me?
Are your options HIDEOUSLY reduced in serious matches or is it just me?
No, they certainly seem to be. I was so used to single player Pokemon, that when I heard people say how great Thunder Wave was, I thought they were insane

I have: Feraligatr, Garchomp, Houndoom, Vespiquen, Sableye and Dunsparce (Yes, Dunsparce). I used to have a much better team, but I started a new game a while back and I haven't been too focused on particular strategies and combinations- I just picked some favourites and stuck with them.
My question is how they can give a fish a haircut. That always bugged me when I was play HG. Do you have any Water or Dragon pokemon that you might like? I'm no expert in teambuilding by any means, but either one seems like it might be a good addition to your team.
Jellicent or Haxorus, maybe. Or I could replace Krookodile with Haxorus, I'm not sure though. note that this isn't for competitive, just something different for the main game.

However, I have a moveset that I commonly use if you want a second opinion. Flamethrower Solar Beam Focus Blast Sunny Day For items, I often swap between the Heatrock (which extends Sunny Day), the White Herb, which allows for first turn charge moves to work the first turn (which in this case is Solar Beam), or the some form of attack boost, whether it be Life Orb, the Wise Glasses (or whatever they're called), or the Expert Belt.

[editline]31st March 2012[/editline] Of course you can always roll a speed boosting nature and give it Specs and it acts as a very nice FUCK YOOOOUUUU button.
May be late.
No Eruption? 150 base power move at full HP with STAB.
I thought about it, It depends if it had EVs in speed, then yes.
Holy shit this guy has some awesome Pokeymen animations.
Yea I guess I didn't take tier into account.
What tier a pokémon is in makes or breaks it. Suicune gets destroyed in OU but can carry an entire team in UU.
I know I know. I'm incredibly rusty and just woke up.
Are there tourneys or tournaments for different tier pokemon? I mean, are there any where only UU's or only Middle Used are allowed?
Are there tourneys or tournaments for different tier pokemon? I mean, are there any where only UU's or only Middle Used are allowed?
PO or smogon tourneys do this but Official Pokemon Tiers suck so much ass its ridiculous.
Official Pokemon Tiers don't even ban Swift Swim + Drizzle just to give you an example
Official Pokemon Tiers don't even ban Swift Swim + Drizzle just to give you an example
Garchomp? Sure! Victini? Woah woah woah get the fuck out.
Phione is banned in Official Tornaments, but feel free to use Tyranitar+Garchomp.
disregard tiers acquire whatever the fuck you want to play with
For regular play, yeah. For competitive, well, if you are bothering with competitive you are playing to win.
For regular play, yeah. For competitive, well, if you are bothering with competitive you are playing to win.
Well sure, but there are points where it's just fun to grab any Pokemon you want and toss them at your friend, so to speak.
Jellicent or Caracosta?
Jellicent, because Carracosta denies you of Archaeops, which is one of the best in-game guys EVER.
