The same thing can happen with hard/elite clues, it's all about luck. In 1 week I made over 12m off of medium clues. Doing a treasure trail only guarantees you the chance of winning free stuff, not valuable stuff.
but doing harder clues seems faster(Atleast I can complete them faster)
Following the tutorials now, this game looks alot better than some years ago.
Oh schnapz, dat beta. Combat might actually be a worthwhile activity, or in other words there's not much need for botting.
The beta is really fun, mainly for all the free items (I know you can't bring them to your live acount)
Also whats the problem of wearing your weapons on your back when you are not in combat?
I have seen lots of people bitching about it how gay it is and what not.
I would love to play the beta but it runs horribly for me. It's constantly freezing every 2 seconds.

I may not play Runescape anymore, but it's nice to see it still growing up. It's nice to go "You were fun in my childhood, how are things now", and then you're totally shocked at the changes.
That combat update looks and sounds really neat. While I'll never play Runescape for long periods of time anymore, I'm definitely going to be checking things out once the update rolls out.

It does require maintenance and cash over time. But if you left in the max 7.5m and left it with 100% approval, you should at very least come out a few million ahead. Before you collect just put 9 workers on trees and 6 on coal to maximize profit.

A MMO is more like about what you want to do. Just do something you want to do, go make a house or do some quests

Do all the free quests. If you don't have a level that you need for a quest, level up that skill. If you get bored of questing/skilling, go and do a mini-game/activity.
And if at some point during all of this, you need money, go and make money.
