Soon the 'RuneScape olympics' will start for both member and non-members
Perhaps you can participate in that? Right now you can do mini quests to help build up the Olympics

I have so many memories from this game it's not even funny. I would love to get back into it considering I have 98 strength and I'm ~500k away from 99... but buying members for 5 dollars a month is still quite expensive. And it took away a good quarter of my childhood soo ehh...

Because auto attack is such a great combat system, right?

I agree it will make runescape completely different, but I played the beta and I can honestly say I can't wait until they make it live, I had a great time. The only problem with it is ranged seems a bit underpowered, but they have plenty of time to polish it out before launch.

Shielding is overpowered, but I like it that way. The dps is significantly slower for increased defence and healing abilities.

It'd be nice if they divided the skills into separate categories for both pvp and pvm. So for pvm it'd still be 40% healing for the defence ultimate, but for say, pvp, 20% or something. I dunno. It'd make it a bit easier, and please both crowds.

Only the first and last points are valid, but that goes for pretty much any MMO out there. The staff are great and have a real touch with the community(Events etc.) I actually had Mod MMG follow me around Edgeville and I got him to join my Friendschat so me and my friends could ask him questions.

The main reason they keep coming with new content without dubble charging people to pay is because of Membership. If this game was 100% free for everyone they would never earn enough to keep up with content all the time.
non-members are more like demo players to see how the game plays and if you like it you upgrade to the full game (Membership)

Same shit with WoW Starters Edition, i see no one complaining about that for not being able to get past level 20 or to have more then 20 gold because then you need to buy the full version of WoW

Slightly agree with the first and 100% with the last, but the mods and admins are really cool and communicate with everybody.

So I played all night and finally got to level 75 fire making. Going from 45 to 75 was such a bitch. Glad I was [i]prepared[/i].

I do however love that runescape now has bonfires. And having people join with you every now and then certainly helped. At one point I had 3 people throwing logs on my fire.

After all that I still have 2.3k maple logs left from the original 9.7k logs that some stranger gave me.

you probably should just sell the rest of the logs and use it for armour you dont really need anymore fm levels unless you are going for skill-cape but its going to take a lot of logs to do that.

Dragon Platebody is [b]NEVER[/b] worth the money. Not a lot of bonus over Rune and it's only 10 Defence levels to Barrows. Claws isn't worth it either, considering it's loosing its special attack after the Combat Update.

The issue I have is that the game simply is not expansive enough yet to cost up to ten dollars in U.S. terms.

The staff members hired to work on the game are nice, yes, the only complaint I have about those underlings is that they have a horrible taste in who to pick for administrative duties and whatnot.
