I think it's funny how the spins usually give 1000 coins.
five spins is 5$.
That's buying 1000 coins for a dollar.
Buying RS gold you'd get 1 million coins or so per dollar if not more.
GG Jagex
People rating dumb are probably assuming I actually have purchased either of those, which I have not.
It's still a stupid system either way.

So sorry I don't advocate a shitty pay to win system.

If you don't like it, just leave.

This thread is aimed for fans to have a serious discussion in. If you hate this game, leave now. If you want to say this game is crap, fine. Just don't do it here.
Sorry but I don't see how you're winning if you're paying real money to gamble for shitty virtual items to which there is a limit anyways.

Pay 2 Win? When you are member then you basically get the full game, free players are more for experiencing the shit that you can get when you purchase member.
Thats like saying that the World of Warcraft Starts edition is not fair because you cannot get higher then level 20
Runescape is sorta going down the pay-2-win road, though. If they get carried away with micro-transactions thats it, game over.
The Solomon's Store only offers cosmetic shit, the only thing you can't get with money is the aura stuff you get with the Loyalty program which you can't simply buy coins for

50 woodcutting, 50 mining and 50 firemaking. Gonna get everything 50!
Have fun with Slayer and Dungeoneering.
I'm not a member.

I was speaking about the stupid microtransation systems they keep introducing. I don't hate the entire game.

They got only 2, i don't see the problem with it.

It's the fact they released one in February, got 99% terrible feedback about people hating it, and then released another one 6 months later.
Personally, I don't hate them. This store is a lot better than SoF in my opinion, as y'know there's no chance of buying a megaton of cash still. If Jagex need the extra cash, then that's cool I guess, and if people are willing to pay money for it, then that's good for them. If they keep releasing other content frequently then they deserve the cash.
The only massive problem I have with it, is the fact they big their micro-transactions up so much. Like if they kept it on the down low and didn't have to update it along with every important game update, then it'd be a little bit more decent. They should have their own little micro-transaction log on a different news feed entirely.
I really, really don't like the direction Runescape is going in right now. Nothing good will come of these micro-transaction things
As long as they keep it all cosmetics I think I will be ok with it, but knowing Jagex they'll add bonus xp clothes in a few months as a "solution" to them not hosting bonus xp weekends anymore.

The only thing that looked cool in that store was the Demon transport animation where this demon comes up from the ground and takes you down the earth when you teleport.
But its 500 coins so thats 5 euro.. For one animation.. Right..
Also would be nice that if you complete quest or reach a milestone in one of your skills that you get rewarded with 100-200 coins or some shit
Ooh look

I'm having a hell of a time getting up the motivation to start leveling my skills to get to 70 in melee combat.
I've played for apparently 8 years now, and I'm not even level 70 in any skill. Then again I've always been a pretty casual player.
I really like the weapon balancing in the EoC. Like how the 2 handed sword, halberd and spear are essentially all the same weapon, just with different attack styles.

Levelling is really fast with the new combat update. So you could wait until that's released. I would never have dreamed getting a combat skill to 80 without botting, but it's just that fast.
I've noticed a lot of references and things in the quests. Tis a shame that for being so well referenced in culture, the references will go unknown to the majority of the player base because they're too young to get them. I always chuckle a little when I find them. Quests are really one of few reasons I still play RS.
Also good, I'm looking at nearly two hours + of grinding to even level one skill. That blows.
You're gonna enjoy it when it takes 10+ hours to level.
:downs:
I'll probably just stop doing combat and move on to other things. Like finishing all the quests.
That's the only reason I train any skills, I do it by quest requirement.
I'm probably just going to do a couple of quests and then ignore combat entirely until it's updated.
Slap it with Slayer, and combat becomes genuinely fun. See how fast you can complete tasks, see the profits. 'S all good.
Do levels carry over from beta to live? Also I got the beta contract when I purchased membership again but I never was able to use it, said something about me not being in the beta. When I was given the contract bit.

No, levels aren't taken back over to the live game. Because if they were, you could dupe yourself to max anything and get things like prayer and herblore up to 99 for like 10k, if you had the time.
Well I'm not missing out on anything I guess.
