They're updating combat and rolled back on some awful game changes.
Wilderness is gone.

The combat update is really cool. I miss the wilderness. It's worth picking up for a month at least.

What happened to the wildy?
What happened to the wildy?
I heard the wilderness is going to be changed to DLC for the game. You have to pay an extra £30 and £5/month for access to the wilderness.
And not only that but for better chances of winning, you have to purchase the ability to use armour slots in the wilderness too. It's only £2 per slot, but it's permanent. So if you want to use everything + auras it's going to cost you £24 extra.
I think it's worth it Jagex are really good.

I assume you don't understand what trolling actually is.
I was making a stab at Jagex for being moneygrabbers.

Jagex removed it. There are now a few PVP areas set up. It's not the same.

Not sure if you have been on runecape for the past 2-3 years, but the wilderness and free trade were put back in the game.
Beta is up for those that are interested.

Tip for newbies: If you're looking to fund your early adventures, pick up seemingly useless drops people ignore. Guards drop grapes, which are worth around 850gp.
Say you want to fund your woodcutting leveling. Without obviously selling the logs, let's play with some numbers.
One grape is worth (in our example), 850 gp.
A rune hatchet is worth 7,500.
This means that you don't even need ten grapes for a rune hatchet. One grape will buy you any lower level hatchet, sometimes even for two levels.
Let's get into something a little more common: bones. Bones are used for prayer, but I recommend using XP lamps on them instead. (Especially if you're like me and don't care about your prayer level). Picking up an inventory of bones and selling it on the GE will net you a little under 3k. By picking up ashes from random fires, you can make even better money with literally no effort.
Equipment below Rune is cheap. By selling your junk at the grand exchange, you can fund everything you need to do up until level 40 in most of your skills. Then you can learn a real way to make money. :P

Added this to the OP.
I have 1.6 mil in my bank just because I fund everything on the spot. I don't do any money-making schemes, I just buy and sell and get rid of junk. I accidentally make over 50k a day just running around chatting. Until I hit dragon tier, I'm set.

(While I'm here, if you're doing woodcutting, sell the logs until you have some cash floating around. Then train your firemaking).
