Hey guys, can someone shed some light onto my situation.
I load up the runescape page fine, I also have the latest version of Java installed, but whenever I get onto the page which loads the content before the login screen, it seizes up and well, dies.
Read the suggestions of tech support on the Jagex site, but it still doesn't seem to work.
Just says 'No data received' or it loads and says my firewall etc is blocking the connection, but even when I disable the firewall etc it still doesn't work. It is only happening today so I can't find a solution.
Any help would be appreciated :)

Scrap the above, I'm trying to create a new account, but it appears that I can't validate a new account? I've tried with 3 new accounts to see if it was just a simple error, but even one that I made and worked buggered up, saying it needs to be validated again?

I've recently come back after not playing for around a year and before that not playing for [b]years[/b]. Just the changes they made in the past 6 months really have turned the game into well a really typical mmo.
The fact every time i mine or do something it floats the gain above me and now some icon appears ontop instantly telling me how much xp to go and what skill im doing etc. The GUI is a bit messy still. I mean yeah so many options and stuff have been added which is why but does that wheel shit really need it's own icon. They should merge the friends and ignore as well as group chats. All the settings and music should be merged and do we seriously need notes. If anthing it shouldn't have it's own icon down there and just be merged with the minimap.
And im running 1920x1080 i just don't like the abnormal amount of buttons. Sadly my girlfriend convinced me to train combat after being a level 3 skiller for years and now she doesn't even play :\. Kinda regret training combat.
I feel like starting a new account, the thing is i hate to just give up the age of my current account and holiday items on it

Also, you could keep that as your main, you don't have to give the account up.

Fish mask is a decent roll Whittal, it's worth a few mil.
It's also becoming a rare, because it will be discontinued and is tradable. Speculation on the items forums say it will eventually reach the tens of mils.
We also KNOW it will be discontinued as well, which means it will rise faster than the original rares.

Is it me or the game doesn't seem so rewarding now. I want to get 80 runecrafting and runespan makes it so easy... I mined so much ess and then found out its just worth to runespan to 99 cause you can earn so much exp in so little time.
