i was really hoping to dual-wield whips :( :( :( :(
It wouldn't surprise me if they figured out a way to handle all the animation later on. Also I'm really happy that I only have to wait until the 6th to try out the Beta.
Also also could someone link me to a stream of someone playing the beta?
How are Claws?
Good/Bad?
I just found out that apparently everywhere is going to be multi-combat when the update is released. Training summoning now as much as I can.

Loan them from someone; they're not that great for anything other than their special attack. I honestly prefer a Dragon dagger over it.

I'm talking about the beta, I have Claws on the live servers.
I'm going to miss the old style of combat, but these new combat moves and animations are awesome.
Well this is going well for me! /sarcasm
I'm in the beta so I was happy. Signed in, opened bank, saw dragon dagger was no longer poisoned. Also Gnome Amulet has no effect (right now anyway.) So I equipped my best armour, realised increase in max lifepoints didn't affect current lifepoints. So went into bank to get strawberries (trained farming recently) and well, eating one crashed the game. So I thought eh, try again. Same thing happened. Went back in game, clicked bug report, crashed again. One more time, it crashed as I was about to press submit. I think I'm gonna leave this for a little while.
I've not played on live ejonkou, but if I took a guess I would say that they're not exactly worthless, but they're worth a lot less I think.
I'm not 100% sure on this because I'm not in the beta, but from how I hear it, all tier weapons are supposed to be equal to each other, so all dragon weapons are basically the same weapons with different attack styles.
From the way Jagex explained it though, it sounds like the off-hand dragon claw will be the best off hand dragon weapon. They say that all main hand weapons would be 100% damage, 2 handed weapons would be 150% damage, off hand weapons would be 50% damage and claws would be 75% damage each. So I take from that you would be better off if you took a normal dragon weapon for your main hand and an off-hand dragon claw.
But if you're wondering about the special attack, it's now an ability (I think a threshold or ultimate). But you can do it by dual wielding any weapons.
As far as I know, torags hammers have been split to be dual wielding weapons. If someone in the beta could confirm that it'd be nice

A guy I was watching streaming rage quit from the crashing. People said he should try clearing his cache and using DirectX, so I don't know if that will help if you're crashing a lot. It sounds like the beta is very unstable at the moment with all the lag and crashing.
Torags Hammers is now in fact Torags HammeR. It's a two handed hammer.

I couldn't get the game to stop crashing with each action on my browser but I managed to make the beta work with my client.
Opened this file: %USERPROFILE%\jagexcache\jagexlauncher\runescape\runescape.prm
and changed the "www" to "world200" or any other beta world. Works perfectly and lag free.
I heard there was an Ahrim's wand now? Is there an Ahrim's wand? and if there is, is there still an Ahrim's staff?
[editline]26th June 2012[/editline]
And I suppose if there are both Ahrim's wand and Ahrim's staff, then are you sure there is only Torag's Hammer?

There is an Ahrims wand and the staff is still there. There is also an offhand Ahrims book.
For all of us not in beta, anyone interested in doing dung? Send me a message in game to EatYourBank.
P.S. I'm 62 Dung, 118 combat, with not a whole lot of group dung expierence.
I'm not too sure I like the new system too well. I was trying to kill a tormented demon and the battle was taking forever, even with pernix and such.
Bloody hell, they made Firemaking easy didn't they. I just logged on just boost it up a few levels and it's virtually AFK'able, I can browse Faceboook or w/e while firemaking or maybe have a conversation with the other goons burning logs, it's great
oh god i suck at pvp on the beta
even with full torva, bandos shield and whip i still lose
Anyone wanna duel/kill something with me in the beta?
Add me. Name is geel9

what kind of training method?
bonfire
Oh my god yes. I watched some stream last night and it looks like the lag was fixed. The guy was wilderness PKing and it looked so good. Everywhere is multi-combat now though, so the guy kept swearing at people that would pile him. I think the wilderness is probably going to change and end up being a more gang orientated place now. If people want to solo each other, they're going to have to go to the crucible or duel arena.
Good, solo wildy pking was boring, clan pking was awesome
I think it makes more sense to have everywhere be multi-combat. Not just because of the increase in AoE abilities, but it just feels weird in an MMORPG not being able to attack something because someone already else is.
It also effectively eliminates player jumping. Which is excellent
How does it eliminate player jumping? If anything you'll just get ganged up on whenever you take a stroll through the Wilderness.

Player jumping is where in single combat, as soon as you eat food it breaks combat long enough that someone else can start attacking you and force you to switch targets.
Ganging up and attacking someone all at once isn't player jumping

It's also called Tagging apparently and it's the sole reason I don't bother trying to PK at the moment. I have a pretty bad video of me on youtube running into a group of people in a single combat area. I'd be able to kill a few of them if they fought me normally, but instead whenever I have to eat, someone else would start attacking me

Reading through all the abilities. Some of them (infact most of them) just sound so powerful

Frost dragons are now multi combat, you can get hundreds of bones per hour with a cannon.

I wonder how that'll turn out.
Somebody better join facepunchcc
Is there even a guild with mostly facepunchers in it?
friendchat. Facepunchcc. Clan is impossible, as most of the high leveled facepunchers joined real clans for doing real clan events
