Frost dragons are now multi combat, you can get hundreds of bones per hour with a cannon.
You can use cannon in Frost Dragons? That's surprising.
Also, I'm really mad/sad right now. I just went to Iron/Steel dragons in full infinity, staff of light, seers ring and 2k death and blood runes, just as I walked in, my internet cut out. I log back on and I lost inf hat, inf boots, staff of light, all my runes (although for some reason it kept my 20k fire and 14k air) and seers ring.
That was a lot of money for me (infact that was nearly all my money). I'm selling what I didn't lose now and looking like a poor mage with blue mystic and a 99 cape.
Infinity isn't worth the money anyway.
Dual-wield Chaotic Weapons looks really weird... Also if I already have a Rapier and Longsword, will I get the offhand versions for free?
Staff of Light still cost more than 1m when I bought it. I had no idea how much value it had lost. At least it was a cheap rebuy. I sold my infinity gloves though because I figure there are going to be other mage gloves and boots when the combat update is released.

I just got a Queen's guard staff. It looked like it was in the middle of the SoF wheel and if it was then I'm kind of annoyed the one time I get the reward in the middle and it's not something I actually care about.
Barrow gloves are better then Infinity Gloves. Also Staff of Light is better then Polypore in my opinion, a bit more Damage and you save 1/8 of the runes you use.
What do we think of this? : http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Greater_runic_staff
Oh wow, apparently it's my lucky day. First the Guards Staff, then I get 500k from a free spin. I mean lucky aside from losing connection and a bunch of stuff.

I think I'm going to start thinking about when the combat update is released onto live servers. I doubt polypore is going to remain a good weapon against Surging. Staff of Light is probably going to be the best staff I can afford and use. I just hope I will be able to get armour at the same or higher level than Barrows that isn't too expensive and doesn't need upkeep.
friendchat. Facepunchcc. Clan is impossible, as most of the high leveled facepunchers joined real clans for doing real clan events
Ah, okay.
My screen name is "Nomus" for anyone that's in the chat, just so you know who I am.
So after 4 hours of trying to get a clue scroll i managed to get ranger boots and a black ele shirt, which nearly doubled my bank. Good day.
Looks like Jagex is throwing around lifetime memberships in competitions now.
Good, they were jewing people with that 1 month bullshit.

This video confirms game-wide multicombat.
Full retard.
[editline]29th June 2012[/editline]
Armour switching in combat will not be an effective tactic to employ, as when you switch some armour in combat, you will encur a double global cool-down across all your abilities, which will result in your damage output taking a serious hit in the short-term which will give quite an advantage to your opponent who will still be blasting away at you.

Untradable potions such as extreme potions and overloads will be usable in the Wilderness

they only boost to what supers used to boost to now so that makes sense
they only boost to what supers used to boost to now so that makes sense
That's all I have ever asked for. It's annoying when you have 4K of each Extreme in your bank and 0 Supers and you want to go PKing.
Oh that makes it pretty fair then, nobody goes PKing in the wild with all the best items anyway.
I won't be PKing in the wild though, because of multicombat and prayers. Crucible seems like an OK subsitute, but you can't turn off prayers or summoning. Might have to do Duel Arena.
I can understand their logic in the overloads, but someone with Turmoil and a Steel Titan is going to fucking wreck your shit if you don't have one.
Incase you didn't know:
OVL/Extremes boost to 116 (including magic) from 99
Supers boost to 112 from 99
Regulars boost to 108 from 99
For PvP it really is required to bring defensive abilities and a shield if you want to last long. Some of the defensive abilities make a CRAZY difference. When a ranger uses his unload ultimate, it's good to use the defensive Reflect ability which will reflect 50% of the damage back.

So, for melee users, it's:
Sword + Shield for PvP and probably bosses
Sword + Sword for PvM?
While on this, does the defender act as a shield or a sword?
Oh wow, okay so I was just watching a guy who got around 20 kills in the Wilderness without banking once. He was using a chaotic maul.
The only problem I have with this beta test right now is it seems like Jagex didn't let any low level players into the beta, so none of the new equipment is being tested at all. Once the combat beta is released, I highly doubt people are going to PvP in what they're fighting in now.
But yeah I couldn't find somewhere appropriate on the RS forum to post, so I'll post this here. I'm thinking that in combat, it's going to be a lot more beneficial to have several action bars set up, all for the same fight.
So like all the streams I've watched so far, it just seems to be people trying to go 100% offence and then dying. They all seem to be dual wielding, and then not using enough abilities. There are lots of defence abilities that can be used without the need for a shield, like reducing incoming damage by 10% for 10 seconds. "Freedom" also seems like it could be important, but I haven't seen any competent Mages streaming yet. Yes Mages get stuns, but they still have their snares. No one at all seems to put freedom on their action bar, so all it would take is for a mage to entangle (which is cheap and more effective now afaik) and then use the Surge ability to shoop away quickly and then just pummel their target from afar.
I know a lot of people I'm watching are probably just way to used to Runescape combat and haven't adapted yet, but it's almost cringe worthy watching some of these people play.
Man, I miss this game so much. I had gotten back into it about half a year ago, and I actually managed to make some money, I had about 120m, I bought bandos tassets, chestplate and AGS to mess around with for a bit. But then I stopped playing, forgot about them, now they have all dropped so much that most of my money is gone :(
Well, actually some prices have risen a bit. But still, from 120m to under 80m by doing nothing is kinda depressing :(

Nobody feels like buying an AGS for 40m do they?
Also, what is this beta something invite?

Invite is useless now. Used to send you to a site to sign up and get picked to beta test the new combat rework before anyone else. Now you have to wait until 6th July to do so.
I think I'll renew my membership later on and finally sell this santa I've been sitting on to get a few prayer/herblore levels
Are Dragon bones with the gilded altar the best method? I've got a pair of Prayer Brawlers which have sat in my bank for like 2 years now
You can get 99 really fast with frost bones if you can afford them

You can do mostly anything if you're rich enough in this game.
For as good as ranger boots are, it's hard as hell to sell them
You can do mostly anything if you're rich enough in this game.
You can do almost anything in this game by being rich enough in the real world too. And legally, now.

I think it's nice not sure how usefull it would be though.
I want one
Also does anyone know any effective ways to get the most points possible in Stealing Creation?

just listen for the callouts and go to the higher level ones

Don't be stupid, no you can't.
Almost 80 Prayer now thanks to these Frost Dragon bones! Took longer than expected though, some dick and his friends kept closing the door in the house to the altar, logging on different accounts everytime they got kicked out

What the fuck did I just do.
You did good, stretching that Unicorn. I'm sure it always wanted to be longer.
I'm wondering if Iban's Blast will actually be worthwhile with the new combat update. They really need to remove the charge limit on how many times you can use it.
