I think I'll actually get this. I'm little disappointed about the delay though.
Thinking of pre-ordering the freedom edition when I get paid, those last videos really convinced me..
I really hope it is indeed 30 hours, not 6 hours like Revelations.
But Revelations was a spinoff/expansion/whatever you want to call it other than 3, and this is the third iteration in the series (going by strictly title alone) meant to wrap the entire story up and bring closure to the series, so it obviously won't be short.
No reason to make it so very short.

Well yeah they needed a game to help fill in the timegap between Brotherhood and 3 (I guess), plus putting an end to Ezio's storyline to help make way for the new protagonist, it was pretty much filler content but I enjoyed it.

AC3 won't be the last AC game you know. The developers even said they could go on to about 30 games if there were enough storylines/information to work with. Sure, we'll get an end to Desmond's story arch, but i'm sure a new one will arrive. It's a great seller.
I'm expecting they will do 2 expansions just like they did with Ezio. I'm only wondering how are they going to prolong the "present" storyline.
One thing I noticed is that AC games really improved their characters and story featured in the memories but I still can't connect with Desmond or anything that is part of the "real" plot.
I hope Ill get enough cash in time for the Freedom edition.

I guess it's obvious you'll be able to use swords, seeing as one of the pre-order bonuses is a sword. Still, I think there isn't any video that shows Connor using a sword in a fight. Only thing I noticed in the video above is some in-development shot where one of the character looks like Connor with a sword.

Theyre trying to show the fresh parts of combat and gameplay, seeing as the sword has been a main weapon since the first game, there is not much they can show us that we havn't already seen. This isn't saying there wont be new sword animations or kill moves, it is just after all this time it loses any kind of interest. "Oh cool he does a new slash with the sword, now show me the new stuff".
Yeah, I guess that's the reason why they didn't show it yet. I'm just looking forward to the new look of things. It's set in a new era so I can't wait to see all the new armor and weapon designs.
Armour and the dye's is something I really look forward too.

I saw it too.
I liked the hookblade, but Connor seems pretty young so he shouldn't really need it.
