Altair was better, at least he was arrogant and felt superior to others. That made him interesting, seeing how he turned out in the end. Being friendly and kind to everyone by learning from his mistakes. After what happened with Connors Village, I thought he would go apeshit on everyone, but he stayed calm. Well, I would have liked if he was full of hatred and such.
Desmond's face reminds me of a duck.
Honestly, I like Desmonds look a lot now. He does not look like Adam Sandler. Although I keep wondering why they change the faces so drastically?
Gotta admit, I think they did the naval warfare very well, not much to it but I think it works I was expecting it to he shitty. For some reason Shaun, the assassin who helps Desmond, has always reminded me of Steven Merchant, maybe it's just the accent.
Personally I felt the controls were absolutely fucking horrible. Every time I had to do an air assassination or tackle my character ended up targeting something other than my target.

It worked much better.
Wat?
I don't remember exactly what to say but it was like "Animus users inherit the abilities of their ancestors as well as other mental/physical features"

They could even break tradition and have some European or African pirates rather than sticking to the Carribean all the time. I also think that was a cop out for Desmond and Altair having the same face.
Another thing I've noticed, in the manor there are paintings, the same paintings that were used in one of the previous games as a puzzle where you had to spot the apple or something
[SP] Love working with Haytham in Sequence 9. Feels really odd but good. Such friendly banter for mortal enemies [/SP]
Ubisoft servers down?
I'm at the mission where you first start hunting animals but one of the secondary objectives doesn't seem to work. I have to combine bait and a snare to catch an animal but as soon as something touches the snare it disappears into oblivion. Can someone help? By the way, [sp]Desmond's dad[/sp] is a dick.
[sp] I really hated how it shifted from stopping the Templars to saving the world. [/sp]
Fuck the glitches are getting too much. I'm in Boston for the first time as Connor and everytime I hold RT to run (Xbox), the camera flies off to some underground part of the map and won't return til I stop.
The homestead missions are really cool. I like them a lot, it is nice to see your community growing and prospering. Also the missions are really varied and I greatly enjoy to play them. The characters are also really great. It has a lot more personality than building up some town like in the previous installements.
hey connor i know you're busying stopping the templars, saving your people, and trying to help the world... but could you help me get laid?
Some of the voice acting by connor during those "interactive conversations" are horrible :v: he talks like some doll absent of any emotions.
Question about post ending [sp] Is there any way to play the Desmond missions after the story is complete? [/sp] HUGE ENDING SPOILERS BELOW [sp] Seriously? Desmond does all that work and just plops over dead? The several games of buildup just for nothing and leaves on one of the worst cliffhangers since Halo 2. Whatever happened to saying this would pretty much conclude the story? This was honestly in my opinion one of the worst endings in my entire time of playing video games since the NES and I've seen some pretty bad endings. [/sp]
did anyone else notice that some characters will randomly have totally different voice actors for instance the first merchant you meet in the general goods store in Boston when he talks to you out of a cutscene he talks with an accent (i think french not sure) but when he talks during a cutscene he talks with an american accent same thing happens with Myriam
Yeah, he has a german accent. He even speaks german, but in the cutscene he talks perfectly english. But I think during that cutscene, it was a total different store located in north Boston.
The only thing i am not quite happy and got me a tad demotivated was the beggining. Didn't pull me in as i hoped it would. Aside from that the mechanics and the new appeal of the game are quite awesome, things started to kick off good for me when lil Connor got real, started feeling the vibe again. Naval is epic, the frontier is quite rich, cities feel more alive. Let's see how it goes, the emotionless native speech kinda bugged me a bit as well...hope the ending is not so bad as people are commenting :(
I really dislike how the combat is less complex than before. It looks more badass and cinematic, but there are not so many options as before in some aspect. I liked using different weapons and tactics when playing the previous installements. The game allowed you to have your person combat style. Here you have only a few options. Although I am glad that they removed all the attack animations and such, the old ones were so rehashed and reused. Although muskets never get old.

They were varied I suppose but it ended up becoming really mechanical (counter, counter, counter). I think 3 feels quite fluid. You get attacked during attacks, which makes it feel a lot like Arkham Asylum for example. The fights feel quite frenetic. I don't mind the lack of variety (especially since all the swords axes and hammers acted the same), since the fighting seems much more dynamic now.
No I meant the choice of weapons that you can take. I usually tried to complete the game by only using fists and the sand throwing move, also spears were really neat. But I get your point, the game combat is much more fluid. Especially when you are at certain environement, he does different movements. Like running up the wall. Throwing an enemy on an object or smashing him against a wall. I liked taunting the enemy and toying around with him, this is not possible in ACIII.
This has probably been answered a million times already but please just help: AC3 on PS3, the fps is utter balls at times, when i'm in boston, running across rooftops all that intense sorta thing, please tell em there is a way to fix it? Spent money to get it on console instead of waiting a month for it on PC and this fps makes it unbearable.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. It also runs pretty bad on the xbox. But in most areas it is pretty okay. Also when I am in Boston the framerate is decent. Might depend on what is going on during the certain events. Also in the other areas it should be fine. Although that could be me being used to the shit framerate after playing tons of hours :v:

Well, my game gets laggy when running around the ports. Not unbearable, but it is quite annoying. I hate bad framerates so much.
