My Xbox is on the brink of death, but I only get bad framerate dips occasionally. It's mostly when there are big crowds of protesters.
Boston seems to be a bit unoptimized, my FPS tends to drop there.
Okay just finished the game.
[sp]I liked everything about it except the ending, it's very disappointing and ends very quickly. I hoped that after FOUR games I would've gotten a better ending, or at least choices.[/sp]
[sp] What I did like is the all the side missions though. It was awesome building up my Homestead and making what was essentially a little town. Captain Kidd's treasure quest was pretty cool as well. I loved how they pout Oak Island into it.[/sp]
Also, it won't let me skip the credits and it's like 5 miles long.
[sp] Oh shit there's more after the credits[/sp]
I don't have framerate problems, but in Boston and New York NPCs sometimes disappear and reappear as you move through the streets.
Same thing on PS3, the fps does seem a bit low at times but it doesn't seem as bad as everyone else is making it out to be.
Oh wow! It actually crashed and my xbox is frozen on a white screen.
Gotta admit, I think they did the naval warfare very well, not much to it but I think it works I was expecting it to he shitty.
For some reason Shaun, the assassin who helps Desmond, has always reminded me of Steven Merchant, maybe it's just the accent.
uh mate Steven Merchant IS Shaun
youre shone
alright no store near me has the collectors edition:
Wait for PC edition (Agree)
Buy 360 normal edition (disagree)
Buy collectors edition online (any other)
I've experienced pretty bad issues with framerate on PS3 myself. Framerate can dip anywhere but in Boston, I've had it go down to what I'd say is around 20fps. It's pretty uncomfortable to play.
Possible big spoiler here.
[sp]I just finished that little hacking thing you get to do after the game. The guy says something about the Cloud. Is Desmonds mind like in computer space or something?[/sp]
ugh popped in the multiplayer disc and it just freezes my console everytime at "checking uplay passport"
Came into this thread to see what everyone thought of the game so far
All I see are people complaining about glitches, fps drops and other bugs
Guess I'll hold off on buying until they sort the shit out

It's actually a huge step up from revelations, bugs aside.
[sp]Well the ending was disappointing, I loved Desmonds last mission though, walking around abstergo just shooting guards, then using the apple to make them all kill themselves.[/sp]
uh mate Steven Merchant IS Shaun
No he isn't. Danny Wallace is Shaun, a different British Comedian. The original Yes Man, the one that Jim Carrey adapted in his film.

Haha I know he sounds like him but Steven Merchant isn't the voice actor for him
My only real gripe with the game is the performance on PS3. I still love the game, but having the framerate drop down to 15 when running in Boston and people, trees, textures popping up 5 feet in front of you...Feels really shitty.
Remember when the Xbox 360 and PS3 came out, and some of the games were made to work on PS2 still, like Mercenaries 2 for example. This is what it feels like sometimes - It's like I'm playing a PS2 port of a PS3 game. The Frontier in the winter makes up for it almost completely though.

I personally havent had any fps problems in Boston or anywhere else.
Massive ending spoilers
[sp] Wait... when Subject 16 Aka Clay died didnt he end up stuck in the underbelly of the Animus? So when Desmond dies he could possibly end up there too? [/sp]
[sp] Well, yeah it's possible. As far as I remember, the Animus saves "user profiles" so Clay was an AI kind of construct. [/sp]
After doing the Homestead Mission for the Doctor where you help him heal people, there appears to be another in the Homestead Basement, but I cant seem to reach the marker, where is it?

This happened to me. What you do is go to the basement, got to the [sp]table with the momentos on it from the templar kills. You'll see it says "Press B" but if you look up, there's another "Press B". Press the above one, then walk back upstairs. [/sp] It was the only bugged quest thing I found in the game.
Dunno if I just have bad luck but the main story missions have been the buggiest pieces of shit I've ever had to put up with. Not a single mission I didn't have to restart because of bugs.
How can I free the different Boston areas and gain additional assassins? Somehow I did every liberation mission and talked to the right contacts. But somehow I can't get any new misisons and in North Boston, there is not even a fort or something.

I have the same issue, though I just assumed you get 2 new assassins in each city.
Well, central Boston was fully freed by sabotaging the fort and taking it over. I just discovered a fort in the south of Boston, so perhaps when I take that over, south Boston will be free and I gain a new assassin.
Thus far I was unable to find anything in the north district, there is nothing at all.
Also does anyone feel that all the crafting and trading system is simply not worth it, it takes so much time and the profit is really low. Even with products such as ship masts. Although I like how money is a lot more scarce now.
I get all of my money from the stuff I hunt. Mostly because I have like 3 recipes I have all the artisans/ingrediants for.
What the fuck does the number mean under the artisan? Is that the number of homestead missions I need to do for them? Or do I need to get 4 Big Daves?

You gotta just ride around on your horse and look in the area. The missions won't just show up on the map, they're kinda random.

Well I collected a lot of chest in order to pay upgrades for my ship :v: But I need more!
