It really is a good time, one of the first times that a lot of modern philosophy was put into practice. The US is to that kind of liberal ideas as the Soviet Union was to Socialism, a realisation of the theoretical values.

This isn't just some freedom 'murrica speech, it is solid as a rock. The rights of man, governing by consent, acceptable suffering versus designed despotism, these guys knew what they were talking about. Just like previous AC games gave information about the Crusades and Renaissance, hopefully this will give something about the revolutionary war, particularly the reality of it versus the dream many Americans hold.
I really wanted a western setting, but this is cool too.
Who wants to bet that they're going to include George Washington in the storyline?

So working by dates, the start of the American revolutionary war is 1775. If the protagonist is about 20 then, then they'll be 60 by the end of the Napoleonic wars. Gives plenty of room to flow into France in later games, especially given how old Ezio was in Revelations.

I'm looking forward to the Assassin's Creed in which World War II is happening, and you go around killing Nazi officers and mad doctors. In the end you find Adolf Hitler in his bunker and make it look like suicide.

The whole point of the Assassin's Creed games is to take gamers away from the over-used locales and time periods. Even though the time period and world issues could be interesting, the WWII setting has been done to death.
It looks like the character is at least some part Native American.

As much as I would like an AC game set in WWII, WWII has been done to death. If you want an AC game in WWII play either Velvet Assassin (crappy game) or The Saboteur.
