I just hope that we won't be playing as Connor anymore, besides the new setting does not have to much of possibilites to be exploited. [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] [QUOTE=ZF911;38345975]I just did the ship navigation tutorial. Do you seriously [sp]not get assassin's robes until you're halfway through the game? Or are the later sequences longer than the first half?[/sp][/QUOTE] Well, if you want to do the all the side missions and freeroam, you will surely play a lot more time in the other part of the game. After Connor recieves his robe, you can pretty much explore all the areas and do all kinds of stuff. The sequences alone are not that long though.
it's actually funny cause the more the game's main story seems to progress, the shorter the sequences get. this game is a brilliant game inside a dumb clunky shell..
[QUOTE=NeoSeeker;38345919]i can't resist clicking on spoilers, not like they ruin anything for me for some reason anyways. [sp]so we've been playing as this prick essentially for the past 5 or so games, more if you count all the other games... and they just decide to let him die? i mean i haven't beaten the game yet, and considering how disappointing the game was i probably won't. but how the fuck can the game continue on? he was essentially the main character...[/sp][/QUOTE] [sp]Chances are the perspective will be switched to his Dad.[/sp]
fuck that shit [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] i'd rather they harvest sperm or something from [sp]desmond[/sp] and rebecca be the mother. yeah i'd rather have something as retarded as that than [sp]his dad taking over[/sp]
[sp]I think we can all agree that the ending for Desmond was the biggest pile of shit we've seen so far. Not as bad as Mass Effect 3 but they pulled some serious "fans don't like this guy so fuck him" bullshit[/sp].
[sp] worst part is i was starting to like him too[/sp] why is it they always do this? alex mercer is probably the greatest example of the current generation of games. [sp]people fucking hated him, so in the sequel you not only play as him, you get to literally tear him apart. only problem was in the sequel they made him pretty god damned lovable[/sp]

I didn't like Mercer in the first game because he's given these fucking amazing powers and the only thing he can say is "I'm gonna make the people that did this to me pay! It's their fault! ragglefraggledazzle"
i liked mercer in the first game too. also in the second game you don't have that super punch ability that turns people into mush when you use it on them.
Mercer is a fucking badass, I liked how he looked and talked. He was full of hatred. Honestly, I think Desmond is not that bad, I liked him. Although the unlockable stories of Desmond in Revelations were fucking boring.
i also liked mercer's choice of clothing. it's like the same as mine. hell we even share a first name... kinda.
His jacket and pointy shoes are awesome :v:

yeah he wasn't a big bitch about it either. [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] unlike blacky in the second game...
Had this game since release, only just got to play it because my power's been out since sandy. I am so fucking happy right now. Its fucking amazing.
[QUOTE=NeoSeeker;38346909]yeah he wasn't a big bitch about it either. [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] unlike blacky in the second game...[/QUOTE] Well uh, his whole family WAS murdered by Mercer. I'd be a little ticked about it myself.
I'm confused, I cant liberate two districts in Boston. I did all the assassin related objectives and nothing happens, no map markers or anything. I talked to the contact at the south distract and he mentioned a mission, but there's no new map markers or objectives. I also cant find the contact at the north end, and the only interactive people in the building are three guys who want to play games. Finally, Stephane just keeps repeating the same dialogue whenever I talk to him.
I am unable to free the north district of Boston. I have the same issue.
I had no such problem

Just run around the cty looking for unusual shit. restricted areas for example.
The fucking start of the game. Holy shit it is so Dull, when do I get to play as Connor? [editline]7th November 2012[/editline] I just finished putting down the bulldog
[QUOTE=Nikota;38347964]The fucking start of the game. Holy shit it is so Dull, when do I get to play as Connor? [editline]7th November 2012[/editline] I just finished putting down the bulldog[/QUOTE] As in [sp]Killing Braddock? (sp?)[/sp] if that's the case you're not far although don't expect it to be any less dull considering you won't be an assassin until like another 2-3 hours.

Why the fuck did they make the game start like this? I have nothing invested in these characters and I don't give a shit about anything that's happening

Looks like Im only one who enjoyed first sequences... i though they were good to introduce you to game And also to [sp]Build some sort of connection between player and Haytham, so player just dont say "oh its his father, who cares, i have no problem to kill him"[/sp]
I liked it too
I liked it but it took more time than it needed. [sp]Especially considering Connor doesn't become an assassin until sequence 6. you spend the first half of the game faffing about. Story was good, gameplay not so much.[/sp]
Should I wait for the game on PC? I prefer the controls on PC, but it depends on whether I can be fucked waiting.

Can you dye other outfits or just the standard assassin uniform?
