Try picking it up without holding an axe, last time I did that I got a free sword :v:
I love the combat in this. It's so much more enjoyable and quicker, yet more challenging.
AC 1 was about 100% counters, and AC2 helped a bit because if you disarmed somebody you got an instant kill on them. AC Brotherhood and Revelations improved on this more because of the whole instant kill combo system.
However, AC3 comparatively blows both of these away. The procedural animation make it look much less glitchy and allowed more fluid fighting (you get attack by multiple people at once now), but also now instead of going through the routine of "Hold shoulder button. Press counter button. Repeat.", they've merged the counter and block buttons into one meaning that you can't play it safe and block anyways if you miss your chance. Instead you need to look at what your enemies are doing and adapt.

for some reason it swapped my cuttoe with this big honking axe for no reason i could see. i dunno what it is about the cuttoe, probably because it's the only sword that doesn't have a hand guard on it.
also i equipped the pitcarin putnam pistols but the game treats them as a single pistol instead of two... or can you simply just get two flintlock pistols and THATS dual pistols?
and if you can do that can you have dual double barrel pistols?

man this game makes me really think about how fucked over the native americans got.
we basically turned them into a shamed, small group of drug addicts and grifters (native casinos).
And don't forget how we gave them land, and within a generation, slaughtered them over it.
I enjoy a lot of aspects of this game, and if I wasn't renting it i would complete it but I can't see myself renting it again for some reason. The game just doesn't flow well in many many ways that make it annoying to play. Also connor as a character just bothers the fuck out of me.

You have to craft the Dual Holster using an accounting book. Then you get two guns.

The guy he thought was a good guy, George Washington, is the reason his mother is dead.
