The tailor you can get for your homestead. You find her in New York. [editline]9th November 2012[/editline] That's Myriam...
Oh yeah. Tottally mixed up her name there.
I'm in sequence 10 after about 12 hours. I really don't want this game to end. I've been trying to hard to do all the liberation stuff and get involved with my homestead but there are no homestead missions and I have no convoys and I have no idea how to get any. Maybe I'll read into it.
and how do you level up your artisans exactly?
and how do you level up your artisans exactly?
Do homestead missions for them.
and where do you find emily in new york? im on sequence 9
Maybe it's just me but this is the buggiest "big game" I've ever played. The horse gets caught up on everything, which is a frustration rather than a bug. But when I dyed my outfit, it would switch back to the default version in cutscenes. People randomly disappear, the climbing is horrible when you get to the synchronize spots on a post (he jumps off rather than climbing up), and I've noticed a fair share of clipping issues. [editline]9th November 2012[/editline] And apparently I've managed to miss a LOT of artisans....
In response towards all the Homestead related questions; it's best you grind out all the quests before trying to craft anything. That way you have everything available from the get-go. You also get the Achilles Outfit as an added bonus, which is a really neat alternative to Connor's 'End Game' look, for those of you who dislike it. It also bears some semblance to his concept outfit:
Just beat it, holy shit. They better have something good planned for the next game, because that was some crazy shit.
Kind of bugs me that Connor doesn't have the lip scar, neither does [sp]Kenway[/sp]
Just finished the [sp]Abstergo[/sp] mission. I waited five years to [sp]get back at that asshole Vidic, only to have him scream about how the Assassins take everything from him. I actually started to feel bad at that point. Also, assassinating Cross was SO abrupt. I understand there was no Animus to show a speech scene or anything, but still. I had almost no idea who Cross was aside from what little we learned in Revelations. For those who didn't read the books this was all we knew about him. Practically no character development...[/sp] However, I really feel the present-day missions were either thrown in towards the end of development, or just hastily rushed to begin with. I would've loved to see Desmond run around with similar abilities to the other assassins (pistol, sniper rifle, maybe even a motorcyle instead of the horse) and some open-world parts during the present day as well. I mean, they had a full two months before Dec 21st hit. Without using the cop-out of the Animus time hyper-accelerating normal time, they could've had a solid balance between modern-day and Connor's time. Also, [sp]the final confrontation with Vidic was disappointing. Sure it was neat to finally see that chapter come to an end, but taking the "magical insta-kill device" ruined it for me. What stopped Desmond from using that method the second he walked in? I wanted to see Vidic pull out some Templar sword or something and have some epic badass boss fight. Or even a hidden blade duel. That would've been amazing.[/sp] I feel UbiSoft rushed this game because they wanted to finish the 2012 story before the actual date. Had they not potentially milked the series with Brotherhood and Revelations, they might've had enough time to really blow things out of the water with this one. The modern-day setting had so much potential and they kept building and building upon it in the previous games, only to climax with three relatively simple errands.

There were only 3 and only 2 with any actual action involved. The stadium was really interesting but I would've liked to see more levels like it. Maybe 1 to break up every sequence. I'm fairly certain I remember them promising a lot more modern day action this time around as well. I was expecting a lot more.

The reason you have no homestead missions is probably because you haven't done the speech thingy's, talking to people with the speech icon gives you more homestead missions.

The animations were bad and the models really lackluster. Beside that they were to short and the thing with Vidic quite dissapointing.

I mean how the fuck do you end up making his own hoodie clip through his backpack 100% of the time?
does anyone else hate the whole modern day shit i'd rather just have the game about altair/ezio/indian man fuck all this desmond bullshit

I will do that! I know of a few but I thought they were useless. I'm (sadly) surprised at how quickly I've been completing tasks in this game. I've collected all the Eagle Feathers, synced all the Viewpoints; completed all of the Story, Frontiersmen, Homestead, Assassin Recruit, Captain Kidd and Boston Brawler Missions. In addition I also discovered all of the Forts and Treasure Chests. I've only had the game for a week, too.

when you guys post about how fast you're mowing through this game could you also post your completion percentage and what sequence you are on? both are shown on the load save screen
when you guys post about how fast you're mowing through this game could you also post your completion percentage and what sequence you are on? both are shown on the load save screen
I'm at about 75%, collected all feathers and trinkets, at sequence 11.
and how long have you been playing? i'm 32 percent, sequence 9 and it says 20 hours but at most 5 of those hours are idling while my recruits go on missions.
Is the game worth getting? I've only played the first Assassins Creed.
this game is insanely glitchy. i just interrogated someone after beating them up for a liberation mission, and during the dialogue connor was stuck repeating the same 5 frames of the sheathing animation, so basically with most of connor's body blocked by the redcoat except his shoulder and head, it looked like he was beating off really fast. also i'm having a really big problem here. there are no more liberation missions in new york for me. i've done every synchronization possible, i've even googled the problem, but there aren't any solutions i can see.
Is the game worth getting? I've only played the first Assassins Creed.
go play ac2 before you even think of playing this one
Is the game worth getting? I've only played the first Assassins Creed.
I highly recommend you play 2, Brotherhood and Revelations first.
Without spoiling me too badly, are there any timed jump puzzles like the ones in AC2 you had to do to in order to get Altair's armor? I remember gritting my teeth in that one timed church puzzle.

After playing quite a lot in multiplayer and getting some file hacks. I just noticed that some of the multiplayer characters are assassins or work with the assassins. In Brotherhood and Revelations all of the characters were Templars. The characters in AC3 multiplayer that are assassins are: [sp]The Silent Shadow, The Sharpshooter, The Robber (worked with assassins), and The Huntsman[/sp] Those are the ones I got "file hacks" on so far.
