Except you end up killing like 3 civilians at the same time and then you get desynched.
I heard a patch to fix Connors hood post game is coming late next week.
I still wonder how they got the most annoying kid voices in this game, those kids on the street. I want to drown them and slowly cut their tongue out with a rake.
OWP OWP OWP
jesus christ it's like i can't even fast travel without my second pistol turning back into a standard single barrel.

Yeah fuck orphans I hope their parents die in a fire.
Oh wait

Just stick to double flint lock, at least it'll always work that way. Not like you need more anyways.
Wait a second, what are you on about? I went into the thread to say that the copies were stolen. I didn't come here to help you out, I didn't even read any of your posts.
No one was talking to you.
in case anyone didn't know you can counter with rope darts the same way you can counter with the pistol.
the only thing is that it takes up one rope dart...
the rope dart pouch upgrade 1 didn't work for me as i still have 5 as my max and it says already crafted. a shame because the counter kills you can do with the rope dart are really fucking awesome.
basically any tool that isn't shit like bait or throw change you can use in a counter to kill an enemy no matter what.
[editline]18th November 2012[/editline]
also if you press the tool button with an axe it does the same thing except the axe is lodged in their head and you lose it.
kind of useful thing to know if you're in combat with axe wielding enemies. you can counter any type of enemy with this attack and kill them instantly.
also fighting bare handed in this game is insanely awesome. you can disarm anyone and if you disarm someone with a musket you can immediately shoot them with it without having to pick it up.
the combat in this game is really underrated because people come at it in this game thinking systematically of the most efficient way to get things done... you can add lots and lots of awesome flair to fights to make it more than just simple counters and shit.
I find bow & arrow counter to be the most rewarding of all, there this guy is, fully swingin away at you, you stop him, calmly step back, and put an arrow through his head. From half a meter away.

Or a double counter with a musket, you spike one, shoot the other. Dyamn.
Is there any escalation in the attack animations, or does your character keep doing the same swings from start to finish of a fight ?
Arkham City really did that right by actually making attacks more powerful and complex as you build up your combo meter. It would be really nice in assassin's creed to have your character perform more powerful counter attacks, to the point where the last guy of a group really gets his shit ripped apart.

Your attacks get more powerful, and fast if you perform combo's.
I wish you could get a sling so that you can carry around a musket all the time, not because I like shooting at it, but fighting with a musket with a bayonet is satisfyingly brutal.

Do your attacks start slow (aka does it have some sort of importance) or are they already fast to begin with, making it mostly just cosmetic ?
To be honest I'm fine with both.

Drop out of a chain kill and you'll notice the difference is significant.
Alright thanks for the info.
Do you think the game will be part of the steam christmas sales ? To be honest I don't really want to pay full-price for that game, since it's like the fifth entry in the series and it doesn't really sound nearly different enough from what was done so far to be worth 50€.
i like connor's mohawk. it sort of signifies a giant change in his thinking of things.
now he has turned from a lone assassin to a warrior with a singular purpose. there is no doubt, nothing, he is on a warpath for a single thing.
I'm pretty sure the mohawk itself was the standard hairdoo for a native warrior of at least a few tribes. that's why it's so significant. i think he's pretty much matured too by the time he sports it.

If it is it'll be for something like 10 or 15%. Ubisoft are stingy
I'd say your expectations were stupidly high.
I sort of agree with him. Mostly because I was expecting more assassination targets. Minor not story spoiler: [sp]Even the main targets were just cutscene "push x" assassination.[/sp]
wow the homestead missions really give you the warm fuzzies, a lot.
until [sp]Achilles kicks it :([/sp] but even that has some warm fuzzies in it, especially in the note left. kind of stirring i guess. this game isn't the best written game ever, and those non FMV cutscenes are really ugly, but it does have its moments story wise.

I'll miss [sp]him bumbling about the manor though[/sp] :.(
Connor and hair cut at the end of the game reminded me of older Sokka in The Legend of Korra.
So i just hit chapter 2. Godamn, this game almost feels like a different animal, combat is so fun to watch and feel smooth, the same with the climbing.
Here's the pc gameplay:

How's the draw distance on the PC version in the more barren areas of Boston or New York?

Why did they keep a weapon selection thing designed for D-Pads, seriously ?
When will they learn ?
[editline]19th November 2012[/editline]
Also is it just me or is the player's voice a bit weird ? It sounds robotic.
Oh shit that C3 twist :v:
Wooo can't wait to download a 17 GB game at 180kbs on launch day.
The more and more I play the first one, I find more and more little mistakes.
Well, not so little. The game doesn't have subtitles. What the hell?

The first game was really boring and repetitive, and the unskippable cutscenes/dialog scenes with the assassin leader were frustrating as hell.
It's really a shame because honestly I loved the atmopshere and setting of the first one.

AC3 for some reason didn't change that. When you assassinate your target you can't skip their dialogue. I'm not sure if AC2 did it as I haven't played that in a long time.
