I finally got the freedom edition of this game! That is one sexy looking box it comes in, will definitely save it! I just wish it came with the flag as well, that looked really nice. Now I just need to apply a patch and then I can play!
Sorry if I sound elitist here, but why did you even think getting the PC version of AC3 would be a good idea? The series is clearly designed for consoles, in terms of control schemes and suchlike, and the PC ports of the previous games have all been crap.
I love that I actually have to pay attention to combat now but I feel that they should have kept the weapon wheel, because after I choose a weapon in combat there's this blackscreen that lasts for a second so guys usually get some free hits on me. Also when do I get to actually play as Connor?
I have it on console but I heard that it was very playable on pc, all the AC games are good ports and control quite well. Although I still prefer a controller. People are really satisfied with the pc versions.
Don't bother with the PC version right now if you have an AMD card, unless you like 10 fps

They promised cool things like DX11 and a lot higher res textures, but neglected to mention that the game would ran like absolute ass (or in my case, just crash my video drivers a bunch for no real good reason preventing me from being able to really progress at all). I've played through all of the Assassin Creed games on the PC using a wired 360 controller, and all of those ran and handled pretty well, so sorry for expecting Triple-A games to actually work.

I haven't played AC3 yet but I think I'll wait until the problems are fixed. Also isn't this like the first AC title with very noticeable bugs?

I'm playing this one on playstation and there are quite a few. I've played every other AC on pc with a mouse and keyboard and they were all fine.

The previous PC version, though obviously ported late in development, always ran fantastic on my computer. And it's not like I don't have the option to plug my controller in if I don't like PC controls. Strange, but I'll take it.

It gets more attention too, the base environment, and texture settings are much better than the console versions. and i'm talking about normal settings, especially in AC3, fucking beautiful on normal settings on the PC, maxing it out doubles that. As for control schemes, the M/KB works fine, but there is such a thing plugging in a controller if you please. How could you not have figured that out on your own? That being said AC3 PC's launch build does indeed have some issues, for especially in framerate. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
I apologise for my ignorance.
If you guys are having some FPS Issues, I found that setting Anti-aliasing to normal doesn't look that much different and it like doubled my framerate.
I set my settings to the absolute lowest and it was still a slideshow in Boston Seems like a problem with AMD cards
That wasn't very nice of him, especially not the last "FUCK YOU" arrow at the end.

I love how Haytham reacts to people. Mid/Late Game Spoilers [sp]When Connor and Haytham meet and Connor asks him why he isn't going with him to the camp Haytham's voice when he says "Never you mind" is just awesome.[/sp]
That ending is a [sp]huge ball squeeze. It's like Mass Effect 3 all over again, but not complete and utter garbage.[/sp] Spoilered just in case someone starts making connections, but ye.
does anyone think at the end it looked as though [sp]juno stepped directly on desmonds body just before it cut to black?[/sp] and yes think about it, it does imply something, even what she said when it was all over somewhat implied [sp]she was going to use desmond's body[/sp] if you think about it [editline]22nd November 2012[/editline] dunno just a theory.

So, are the ubisoft servers down for everyone on PC, or is just a problem of mine? And if it is just me is there any fix?
sort of like that one people have for prototype 2 where [sp]mercer may have been absorbed but he's a seperate entity inside heller's body, like a virus i mean he survived a nuclear detonation, and you're telling me some black guy with the same (most likely less) amount of power than him just has to rip off his arms to kill him?[/sp]
Funny how they finally gave Desmond some personality of his own and managed to make him a [sp]total dick, and also stupid one.[/sp] Ending Spoiler: [sp]Who in his right mind could've chosen to side with a millions of years old psychopatic god-entity that is not only capable to enslave humankind but doesn't even try to hide it's intention to do it? Minerva is SO right in everything she said and yet Desmond goes "no, you're wrong, I activate that shit". I much preferred him being mindless tool.[/sp]. My reaction was "What the FUCK?"* out loud at my screen at that point. Though, everything about modern timeline reeks of just bad writing in AC. Ancestor's stories are so much better, it looks like they didn't even bother with Desmond and shit, just made a bunch of basic stereotypical stock characters with no actual personalities. *actually, "что за хуйня?", but same thing.

Instead of propagating the same cycle of chaos that's been going on, you establish order through 'lol supernatural' means, and find a way to fight that. In the end establishing true freedom, which is what Assassins want.[/sp]
This game is really badly optimized. I could run Revelations on max quality in 1920x1080 with 40+ fps. On this I can't seem to get a decent framerate no matter what I try. I'm kinda bummed.

Hey, I was thinking of whipping out my brass knuckles and going out on black friday to get a copy for steam. If I buy it retail from the store can I add it to Steam? I'd really like the ease of using steam so if anyone can answer my question I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance.

So it's basically "hey guys, I'm making this choice, save the day - and you then deal with this omni-scient omni-potent (compared to human) god-entity. Which might as well be impossible because no one knows how many people left with these special "god-genes", there can be just one more, his father. Not to forget that Desmond just saw the consequences of siding with the enemy, I mean Connor's little problem with his father. This goes against everything Desmod learned from his Animus jorneys, take fucking responsibility yourself. Insted he decided to just make the ultimate sacrifice. Nice job.[/sp]
