This is the "Thanksgiving turkey patch" or whatever they called it.
Suddenly multiplayer is working for me on PC.
If you had any issues, try to play it now.
Am I the only one massively bothered by how, despite their promises, you're essentially just a good little American Hero?
I really don't mind. I don't know why anyone would be bothered with that.
The advertising campaign was much more patriotic than the actual game is.
There are constant reminders that there were no "good guys" throughout the whole game.
Well he said he isn't going to do this for America, yet he does.
So...after a few missions with connor... im now stuck [sp]after you get to boston as connor, do a 2 missions i got told to speak with the boat guy so he can get me home but i speak to him a sort of fast travel menu comes but with no icons to go to[/sp]
Because I'm about to buy AC3 I have a progress related question. [sp]I know you start playing as Connor later in the game. I suppose before that you can try to get full sync on the quests. But what about money, collectables, weapons? Do you keep those after you are done with Haytham? Or you can't do any of that stuff until you are Connor?[/sp]

Keep.
The lockpicking in PC makes me want to strangle someone,

Use a 360/PS3 controller if you have one.

I'm more than halfway through the game and so far I've been killing templars and my only loyalty is to the assassins. I know most of the templars are sided with the British, but even so it's not just a black and white battle for Connor.
Still, what's wrong with helping people gain freedom through a revolution? I'm not going to go and say 100% America was right and Britain was wrong, but for the most part the revolutionaries were fighting a good fight. Could it have been solved without violence, possibly. There were boycotts and protests which were merely shut down. Who knows if they ever would have worked. Ultimately someone fired the first shot, and at that point it was too late to stop it.

[sp]I thought the part with Washington ordering Connor's village to be destroyed made it pretty obvious that Connor's main focus was the Assassins vs Templars. The revolution seems more like a side story after that. I think the writers did a lot to make sure the states weren't presented as the heroes, especially with Shaun's database comments.[/sp]
Dammit! Stupid steam sales, overloading their service. For about an hour I'm trying to buy AC3. Is Gabe Newell watching me?
The game was a fucking blast. Although I was unable to see through the goddamn 25 minute credits (Checked on youtube, something around 25 minutes for sure), so I just looked up [sp] Achilles' death and funeral on YT[/sp] First time I was actually this sad. Even tho he was a complete asshole, he was a great person.
I don't understand everyone with going on about Connor being a baby. He does what he thinks is right, and, at the end, stops the Templar influence over the colonies. Although I found it funny that everyone until [sp]Benjamin Church completely justified all their causes till the very end, believing they did everything right and Connor was actually seen being a bit in doubt, especially when encountering his father [/sp]
Played on GTX 470, i5 760 and 4 GB DDR3, encountered no large FPS drops on high settings (not very high)

Go back to the animus and back in.

But the game doesnt have auto switch does it? If it doesnt, it means i have to go to options and turn on 360 controller from there everytime Im lockpicking.
It does
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
Nevermind, it's just for the menus
Weird, I remember auto switching in AC before
Yay, fucking crashed on a loading screen and now it crashes on loading that save, was just starting Sequence 7
oh fuck oh fuck I'm on sequence 7
brb checking my game
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]

"this folder is empty"
NONONONONONONONONONONNONONONONONONONO
i'll just check ingame then and hopefully it will be there
Anyone else get terrible lag with snow maps in Multiplayer?
Singleplayer I have no problem, but the snow in multiplayer lags me to hell and even after I get out of the match it gives me FPS problems in the menu too. Gives me a terrible headache.
Seq 11 Spoilers [sp]I really took Hatham's death, i actually really liked him as a character, Morso than Connor. Sucks that in other circumstances im sure they would have been pretty tight.[/sp]

[sp]thank Lee for that. he clouded Haytham with shitty lies
he's by far the saddest death in AC[/sp]

for me, the part that hit me the most was when Vidic [sp]started screaming into the loudspeaker, calling out Desmond on how they are the cunts and made some pretty good points[/sp]

[sp]Achilles[/sp](character in the spoiler above) wasn't an asshole though, he had a just reason for everything he did.
[sp]Achilles'[/sp](character in the spoiler above) wasn't an asshole though, he had a just reason for everything he did.
not really, no
he was a coward - the reason he is there is because the templars offered him death or life in seclusion
he exhibits that same cowardice many times, and when they argue with connor none of them are really right

Theres a hell of a lot of that regarding [sp] teplars actually providing actual decent points, not the usual HURR DURR POWER HURR that plagued the last two games. [/sp]
As for Lee, i hate him, but kinda like him, oddly for how good his model looks comparatively.

Lee was a [sp]manipulative cunt, it's heavily implied that he was a suckup to Haytham only to take reins at the moment he can. I mean come on, when Haytham attacked Connor and died eventually, he believed Lee was a friend to him when Lee outright murdered his love[/sp]
[sp]Haytham is also the deepest character ever, and probably the best guy in the entire series[/sp]
The lockpicking in PC makes me want to strangle someone,
I don't even remotely understand what I'm doing, most of the time I just get lucky and unlock it in like 5 seconds.

I completely agree, maybe it's the way he's set up in the start with the [sp]twist[/sp] and all but he's just so likeable, and so morally grey.
don't forget the voice
