You can do low profile assassinations with more than one, just only once at a time.
I don't have performance issues, but I cant play more than 2 minutes of AC3 without my display drivers crashing. Is that a common problem or is it just me?
Accounting book isn't that terrible in my opinion. The weapon wheel is terrible though. It takes to so long to change weapons I don't even bother. I have tomahawk and hidden blades on my quickslots, and they're all I use because using anything else is so frustrating. The weapon wheel was much better in the past AC games. I have a question, can you do a low profile double assassination? I can do running and jumping double kills with the hidden blade, but cannot do one walking.
You can't but the way it works, is that you can kill a bunch of people with the hidden blade really fast. Like, there's a quarter second cool down at most.
Hey guys guess who only just discovered you can send Assassin recruits on contracts during Memeory Sequence 8. Seriously the Assassin Guild menu on PC fucking sucks
Doesn't even matter because the assassins are fucking AWFUL in fights. They get injured way too quickly and then end up being unavailable for like 20 minutes.
The assassin contracts... Are they useful in any way? I saw they level up your assassins and make some money. I don't use the ally feature but are there any benefits for upgrading your assassins? BTW I had no idea they kept this minigame in and I'm in sequence 9.

Im so happy to have 3 Assassins.
Now that I think about it, some of them would help me greatly with defeating the forts. Unfortunately I already claimed all of them. One bug I found. I just crafted the second holster for my pistols. I also somehow unlocked a new pistol which I instantly equipped because it was clearly better than the default one. So now I had the same gun in each holster and that was great. But after fast traveling the default gun was suddenly in one of the holsters. Does that happen to anyone else and is there a way to fix it? EDIT: Oh wow, seems like this bug is on all platforms.

Can you grab or tackle like in past games? If so, how?
Can you grab or tackle like in past games? If so, how?
Not sure about tackle but grabbing and throwing can be done with empty hands while in combat.
Is anyone else having severe performance issues? I have a 570GTX, which should play this game fine, but once I get to Boston or anywhere with many NPCs it drops to unplayable levels of frame rates. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm sort of disappointed that I payed $60 for a game that won't run smoothly on decent hardware.
Try turning off vsync. [editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
Can you grab or tackle like in past games? If so, how?
Tackle on PC is sprinting and pressing E by default.
I'm only on sequence 8, but [sp]do the Templars(in present time) know about the upcoming apocalypse? If so, why are they against the Assassins who are trying to stop it? Do any of the assassins/templars from the past know about it?[/sp] If you can't answer without spoiling later parts of the game then don't.

I think they also expect the solar activity to be strong but not deadly. As for the ancestor, I think they don't know about the sun but Ezio for example realized he was just a conduit.[/sp]

Do any of the assassins/templars from the past know about it?[/sp] If you can't answer without spoiling later parts of the game then don't.
[sp]It's never explicitly stated but heavily suggested through conversations with Rebecca/Shaun/William that the Templars have full knowledge of what's about to happen and want the world to be ravaged by the solar flare so they can camp out in bunkers and emerge later on to take full control of a weakened and scattered human race. Sort of like how the Enclave in Fallout purposely manipulated the world into a devastating nuclear war so they could swoop in and take over what was left over afterwards without much of a fight.[/sp] At least that's the impression I got.
Just played [sp]the Brazil sequence with Desmond(how are they finding these power cores, magic?). Desmond said he saw Lucy and Abstergo send a satellite into space in a vision which failed, which is why he had to kill her. Maybe they did want to stop it.[/sp] I don't hate the Desmond parts of the games, I just get caught up in the historical stories. Sometimes I wish we only got the old assassin stories not mixed with all the future stuff. During the singleplayer when I complete a sequence(for example sequence 8), it says I unlocked an MP bonus. Are they just story files, or am I missing some customization items?
[sp]The satellite was Abstergo's plan to indoctrinate the entire world by sending an Apple of Eden up into space. It was never intended to stop the catastrophe. I'd wager they probably planned to launch it on the very same day as the solar flare so that it would subjugate the human race immediately after the disaster struck when they were at their most vulnerable. At least that's my theory for why they picked December 21st as the launch date. The satellite was specifically designed to be resistant to a solar flare's effects, so presumably they knew what was coming and purposely designed it to coincide with the solar flare for optimum brain-washing potential. Also upon further research, some internal Abstergo documents hinted at the fact that the satellite was intended to locate individuals with First Civilization DNA, presumably to indoctrinate them to the Templar cause and usher in a new human race with enhanced genetics. With a weakened and dispersed human population and complete control over the minds of its people, for the Templars it'd simply be a matter of ensuring the First Civilization DNA is carried on through artificial evolution to create a stronger race completely devoted to their cause. Again, personal theory/headcanon but based largely on hints sprinkled through the five games. However, from the conversations with Juno and the First Civilization's attempts at trying to stop the previous solar flare, that plan never would've worked since the First Civilization had already tried that very same thing and it failed completely.[/sp]

I was also worried once I got to Boston for the first time but sticking through it I found that it was ONLY Boston. Another thing is that it seems to only be Boston that one time, I've returned to Boston multiple times with no insane decrease, not sure what it was the first time.
Yeah, Boston has some weird issues but I never suffered extremely low frame rates, I just noticed a short stuttering at some locations in that city.
The Colonial Assassin outfit would be perfect if it wasn't for that goofy hat, I would've preferred a hood, and am I the only one who's disappointed that there's no Haytham costume?
The concept art versions were so much better "Hells yeah" "The fuck is this? Am I wearing shorts?"
I hate the fact that you can't get the Captain outfit without having the deluxe edition.
Finally! I can play the multiplayer now! And holy shit, this is intense as FUCK.
Honestly my favorite outfit in AC3 is the standard one. I've always liked the plain white robes and the blues accentuate it perfectly.
So it seems that people prefer Ezio over Connor which is quite understandable though. Frankly I believe in terms of an assassin, Ezio is a great leader and Connor is the more powerful fighter. Some of the counter moves in AC3 are just insane. Besides (ending spoilers) [sp] Connor tracked down Charles Lee, even while being heavily injured and barely able to walk.[/sp] Connor is tough, way tougher than Ezio.
Haytham was the best.
Haytham was the best.
ALL WE NEED IS THAT THE WORLD BE AS IT IS [sp]salute[/sp]
Haytham was the best.
Yes Haytham is the best [sp] templar [/sp] :v:
Honestly my favorite outfit in AC3 is the standard one.
Try turning off vsync.
Did that, still having issues. I also tried it on my laptop which has a 560M, and I don't get the same immense frame rate issues, but the game runs horribly on it. I'd really like a solution to this before I beat the game in slow motion.

I think the game could have been more. I like the Haythen scenes, it's just that by the time Conner finally develops and we get to know him, there's 30 minutes left in the game.
