I just thought Connor was an annoying twat the whole way through.
I just thought Connor was an annoying twat the whole way through.
Pitcairn and Hickey put him in his place the best out of all the Templars Connor killed. -in heavy accent- "You wield your blade like a man, but your mouth like a child. And more will die because of that..." "Don't look at me like that. We're different, you and I! You're just some blind fool who's always chasin' butterflies, whereas I'm the type of guy who likes to have a beer in one hand and a titty in the other. Thing is, boy, I can have what I seek. Had it, even. You? Your hands will always be empty." Best quotes in the game, imo.
Did that, still having issues. I also tried it on my laptop which has a 560M, and I don't get the same immense frame rate issues, but the game runs horribly on it. I'd really like a solution to this before I beat the game in slow motion.
I'm going to assume you have the latest beta drivers, yes? Not sure why you're having such an issue, mine worked fine after Boston. Just the first time I went there it dropped down to like 15FPS.
Spoiler tags please.
Anyone else dealing with this? I'm sort of disappointed that I payed $60 for a game that won't run smoothly on decent hardware.
Also, this is funny to me and you'll know why.
how do i start the pre-order DLC mission wtf is the preorder dlc mission anyways
is this game too damn difficult for anyone? The enemies spot you from a mile away, and through the leaves of all the damn trees. Impossible to get around without being spotted by someone.
I just thought Connor was an annoying twat the whole way through.
I fell in love with Connor much quicker than I did Ezio. Altair, Ezio, Connor, and Desmond are all childish and stubborn at times, Connor is the only one who is so but with good intentions.
the cool thing is that there are no perfect characters, that's what most "omg ezio was coler" people don't get - the entire in-animus story is highly resemblent of a basic drama, you know, a theatrical one - all characters have traits and goals, but noone is a knight in shining armor and that's how it should be
is this game too damn difficult for anyone? The enemies spot you from a mile away, and through the leaves of all the damn trees. Impossible to get around without being spotted by someone.
The stealth in AC is infamously bad.
actually holy shit, the theatre at the beginning might as well represent that fact
how do i start the pre-order DLC mission wtf is the preorder dlc mission anyways
Go to a Harbor master (Don't get access to them until Sequence 6 IIRC), then go here. It's just a short parkour puzzle, and you get a decent sword at the end.
Also, this is funny to me and you'll know why.
huehuehuehue And yes I have the latest beta drivers, no performance increase at all.
You would think a multi-trillion dollar corporation would be able to hire better actors.
I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be bad. "I jiggle my joystick with the best of them" And now I just realized you said "multi-trillion" instead of million and though you meant Ubisoft instead of Abstergo. I feel dumb.
So I decided to start doing Homestead missions. Five hours later, no end in sight. Send help

Also, today I found myself just sat listening to the music that plays on the main menu screen. Anyone else got any favourite songs from the OST? I realise there's a few different edits of the Main theme but I think that the original is the best. (I'm assuming this is the original) I'm actually pretty impressed with the OST as a whole, though.
I like the Fight Club and Battle of Breeds Hill tracks.
So it seems that people prefer Ezio over Connor which is quite understandable though. Frankly I believe in terms of an assassin, Ezio is a great leader and Connor is the more powerful fighter. Some of the counter moves in AC3 are just insane. Besides (ending spoilers) [sp] Connor tracked down Charles Lee, even while being heavily injured and barely able to walk.[/sp] Connor is tough, way tougher than Ezio.
I just think that Connor is way too super serious, WHERE'S CHARLES LEE?! Ezio on the other hand was quite nice, he had those funny moments and he can be charming at times, just think, look at him when he met Sofia Sartor, he was getting old but it was as if he was still in his twenties when it comes to the ladies.
I really can't connect with Connor, so far he feels like he has a stick up his ass all the time. I know it's logical given his past but every time he asks where's Charles Lee or just says his name makes me cringe. Also isn't he the first assassin [sp]to actually fulfill his silly revenge? Altair was just standard assassin who was sent to kill his targets, he learned about their secret-not-so-bad intentions but he did the kills because his mentor told him to and ultimately learned the truth. Ezio started off as wanting revenge but he realized his quest was bigger than that and he didn't kill the main villain in AC2. Now Connor tracks his targets just like the previous assassins but when it comes to Lee you even learn it wasn't him who burned the village and Connor still holds huge grudge towards him.[/sp]

I thought this game was really bad now after finishing it because they forgot to add tutorials on how to do all the new stuff they had added (even if I figured out even how to do the lockpicking really good) I was just really disappointed by the fact that they didn't teach you how to get the naval convoys or how to use all the cool items you could learn how to craft.

What is this from?
What is this from?
I'm really regretting my purchase of this game. The story and gameplay is fine but the performance sucks so hard it's beyond belief. I'm running a 670 FTW with a 3570k CPU and I'm getting absolutely abysmal performance, so much infact that I had to crank down the resolution from 1080p to 720p just to get some semblance of fluidity. It's shit. Hopefully they'll patch the game enough so I can justify my deluxe edition purchase but as of right now I'm not a happy dude.
I'm still a bit confused with the menus. I picked 3 quests, one is to record the people in homestead doing their daily activities, then to craft specific number of useless crap and finally hunt for some resources. But I can't seem to find the mission descriptions so I have no idea how many things I still need to do.

I can't decide if I like Connor's voice actor or not, it's perfectly fine when he's doing something serious but when you're doing something like the Homestead missions, conversations where he shouldn't really sound like a moody teenager all of the time, he just sounds kind of awkward, as if the delivery wasn't quite right.
