Great, now I feel horrible for [sp]finishing the homestead missions.[/sp]
Great, now I feel horrible for [sp]finishing the homestead missions.[/sp]
What happens if you do ?
What happens if you do ?
[sp]Achilles dies in his sleep during the second to the last mission.[/sp]
[sp]Achilles dies in his sleep during the second to the last mission.[/sp]
[sp] doesn't he die anyways [/sp] ? I had that happen to me and I didn't do all of them.
[sp] doesn't he die anyways [/sp] ? I had that happen to me and I didn't do all of them.
Well, shit.
Slower than you ? Didn't you say that it was impossible for you to stay within 50 meters with him :v: that would mean you were slower. But yeah, the chase is bullshit if you guys have to deal with so many fags at the beginning, but at least they patched / were patching it
Yes. We had to do it a lot faster than you because otherwise we'd get out of the 50m range when assassinating all those templars you didn't have to deal with. You can now do it much slower because there's much less actually slowing you down when you're running. If that makes sense.

I just bought the game for 80 dollars; and I get to boston and then the 10 fps lag kicks in... My video card is average enough, I guess. I can usually run games fine at medium; but dear god the lag in boston. Videocard is a HD6670 [editline]30th November 2012[/editline] It really sucks that steam doesn't do refunds, but oh well. I guess I'll have to get an entire new comp to play this. Also; it might be because of my CPU, it is an intel core 2 6600.
Everyone lags in that first trip to boston, stop freaking out and play the game a bit more.
Don't knock anyone over, while having to assassinate three rows of 2 guards and not getting hit by an explosion all the while staying within 50m of your target and to top it all off another row of 5 guards WITH PEOPLE TALKING THERE AS WELL at the end..
Wait, where you supposed to kill those guards? After a few tries getting hit with that exploding barrel i did it. While evading the guards.
Wait, where you supposed to kill those guards? After a few tries getting hit with that exploding barrel i did it. While evading the guards.
It was patched. There were guards you had to kill before otherwise you couldn't get past. He's not talking about the ones that really obviously stand aside to your intended route.
Everyone lags in that first trip to boston, stop freaking out and play the game a bit more.
Can't play the game at 10 fps bud. It goes up to 15 in the forest/frontier. Not much better.
Can't play the game at 10 fps bud. It goes up to 15 in the forest/frontier. Not much better.
Ok sorry there is something wrong on your end it's just every other page someone complains about the lag in Boston and I assumed you had the same problem as everyone else.
It's fine Raidyr, it is a common problem; I think it's just my CPU's. two 2.4 ghz cores isn't enough for console ports apparently. Hopefully a patch comes out for it, also, HAVE any patches come out yet for the PC? Optimization patches, that is?
Ok sorry there is something wrong on your end it's just every other page someone complains about the lag in Boston and I assumed you had the same problem as everyone else.
There are people with i7s and 6990s who have low framerates It's horribly optimized, and there's been absolutely no news of any upcoming patches The first visit to Boston gave me about 10 FPS, and from then on free roam in the cities and the frontier gave me 15 FPS [editline]30th November 2012[/editline] Granted, their "low framerates" would be about 25 -30 fps, but that's terrible for their kind of hardware [editline]30th November 2012[/editline] Ubisoft might be quietly working on a patch, but they haven't even officially acknowledged the problem so it looks like they're just twiddling their thumbs until new AMD drivers hopefully fix it
Didn't know that. Ran fine on my mid-spec rig, shitsux then sorry.
afaik the ships are too high poly and have no LODs so they lag your shit
Two things about Haytham. [sp]He's the first templar that I actually wouldn't mind joining. But I really hate the writers because they made him ruthless murderer once you meet him as Connor.[/sp]

So I bury Achilles and whatnot, and it's sad and all, yeah yeah. That immersion completely breaks when I walk into the house to put the painting up and Achilles is kneeling in front of the fireplace with a pail.[/sp] I shat a brick.
I haven't been keeping up with this thread, but I just finished the game. Took me a good 4 days, in the end I was just trying to get it over with tbh. Am I the only one who thought it dragged on way longer than it should/could have done? I dunno, I've loved every Assassin's Creed so far, but I just wasn't all that invested in this one. A lot of what I enjoyed in AC2 was the conversation and the growth of the main character. Connor however seemed purposely moronic, which I suppose made sense in context, but it wasn't exactly a fantastic experience. It also felt like the gameplay mechanics never really changed. There was no progression, the PC's ability was pretty much the same throughout, and although it's been a bit like this through the past 2 games I always felt the story and the characters kinda filled the gap. [sp]What have I become, oh god why can't I just enjoy vidya games.[/sp]
It spends far too much time setting up Connor and Achilles. [editline]30th November 2012[/editline] Also the "Haytham crossing the Atlantic" was too dragged out as well for what the ultimate conclusion was.
Also the "Haytham crossing the Atlantic" was too dragged out as well for what the ultimate conclusion was.
More like the entire part playing as Haytham was drawn out. I understand what Ubisoft was getting at; but they weren't allowing enough time for Connor's story.
are you seriously complaining about a non-casualised, long drawn out intro guys
Oh god that music. Why is Ubisoft so fucking good at music. I've heard literally every main theme of all 5 games.
Why is Ubisoft so fucking good at music.
That part in AC2 where Ezio and his brother look out over the city and this plays is the greatest.
It was patched. There were guards you had to kill before otherwise you couldn't get past. He's not talking about the ones that really obviously stand aside to your intended route.
I got the game on the ps3 day of release, and after a few days doing the main quest and side quests i finished the main story. So there was no patch yet, it was before the thanksgiving patch.
i think this pretty much beats the shit out of every other trailer with licensed music out of all the assassin's creed games.. really i think the first was the best, if only because it was the first and it's the game in the series i had the most fun with and experienced the most awe with.
Assassins Creed 1 was great, but I feel like it was a platform to get to AC2 and later Brotherhood, which was my favorite. It just felt like the most complete game. Revelations was practically a Brotherhood expansion with some nice details into Altairs life, and AC3 was somewhere in between 1 and 2. I would say for settings AC3 is easily my favorite. AC1 blew me away when it came out and Rome was nice for Brotherhood but I love Boston and New York, plus the Frontier is genuinely fun to just travel around. Hunting is a great distraction too.
Heh. Decided to do the homestead missions after I had completed the main storyline [sp]Suddenly achilles is alive![/sp] Also when I went back from that chest in a cave thing everything started loading, the mansion dissapeared and when I approached it I crashed :v:
