Another good AC1 trailer
Don't knock anyone over, while having to assassinate three rows of 2 guards and not getting hit by an explosion all the while staying within 50m of your target and to top it all off another row of 5 guards WITH PEOPLE TALKING THERE AS WELL at the end..
First you run down the stairs on the left to avoid the explosion, then you run past the stands on the right to avoid the first guards, the second row of guards you just take a shortcut on the left, jumping over the water.
That part in AC2 where Ezio and his brother look out over the city and this plays is the greatest.
I was hoping for something amazing with Assassin's Creed 3 also, but I must say I was slightly disappointed with climbing to the top of the mast to be greeted with a shitty looking cityscape and a lacking soundtrack. While the soundtrack itself is still amazing, it just didn't fit the moment as well as it could have.
I kinda liked how they switched the message of the entire franchise around when [sp]they showed you that the templars are essentially the same as you(only more charming cause fuck connor the boring little shit) and when the templars won Desmond's story as well.[/sp]
Both sides lost. The real threat is the apocalypse which was oblivious to the templars.
Even the players lost in the AC3 ending
i think this pretty much beats the shit out of every other trailer with licensed music out of all the assassin's creed games.. really i think the first was the best, if only because it was the first and it's the game in the series i had the most fun with and experienced the most awe with.
It also had Sheathes for your weapons, that made it get 2 points from me.
Does anyone else hate how they nerfed Counter-attacks? The combat is so frustrating in this game now because in the previous games you could kill an entire group of people easily (Which I honestly liked better, since it makes you feel more like a badass Assassin rather than just... a guy, which is more realistic but I'm not finding myself having fun when fighting the guys in this game, just getting frustrated when one guy continues to hit Connor in the back because they all group around him and whale away.)

That's why they choose Juno, and enslavement after preventing the Apocalypse. They show when guys attack and then you can press B and do your counter move. One of the four is always gonna work so just keep trying til he's dead.
hey guys ease on the spoilers, I avoided reading Numidium's post because spoilers; so try to tag them please.

Every templar that we meet throughout every AC game is oblivioius to the apocalypse, not a single one mentions it at all or hints at it. The central conflict isn't about apocalypse vs. dictatorship. The central conflict is an idealogical one. The templars always want power to control and suppress, but they also want order and peace to a certain degree. They just don't have that much principle. The assassins are all about principle and idealism. Juno represents the suppression and oppression but order part by offering to stop the apocalypse in exchange for enslavement. That's literally what the templars want. Minerva offers to really change nothing at all but just delay the end. It's not what the assassins want but it's a statement about idealism. They're essentially saying "See this? Idealism is futile, you'll still die in the end. Power is the only real solution". That's the message of the ending.[/sp]

The ideals had a strong impact, the precursers added a nice touch. But now with this ending and the absoluetly abysmal writing, everything is mixed up and makes no sense. There are a lot of illogical plotholes.
Oh god that music. Why is Ubisoft so fucking good at music. I've heard literally every main theme of all 5 games.
Connor's concept look was so much better than the final look, he actually resembled desmond in the concept look

Yeah, but the whole story is a lot less transparent and blurry than it used to be. The only thing that they managed to show amazingly is how the templars fight for order and peace, but only through dominance and control.

Although badly executed, the prologue and the whole background story takes to long. It was also quite predictable.
Of course it takes long. 5 hour intros are a franchise trademark since II.
There are twelve sequences in this game and 6 are dedicated to prologue, which is quite exagerated to me. Especially the ship sequence with Haytham.
There are twelve sequences in this game and 6 are dedicated to prologue, which is quite exagerated to me. Especially the ship sequence with Haytham.
I loved every minute of it. Guess it just comes down to taste.
It annoys me too but I also like Haytham a lot so it's bearable.
the templars want peace through control the assassins want pure freedom. but at some level they realize that's not going to happen and anarchy isn't good either. so they either choose a lesser evil or create one. the templars are a force that wants to have an iron grip on everything. the assassins are more of a mediating force. sort of how america likes to picture itself nowadays.

The fact that certain moves don't work on specific enemies is kind of annoying. The fact that they can stop your kill combo is really annoying. They could at least do it like Revelations where certain enemies can't be killed in one hit during a combo, but at least you could get an attack in and continue the combo on other enemies. [editline]1st December 2012[/editline] So glad they removed armor and health potions, the two things I hated most in the Ezio trilogy.

I really can't describe at any point in this game where I had fun using the hand-to-hand combat. (I do have a lot of fun using the guns though)
Just finished the main storyline and I have to say I'm mostly disappointed by Connor and the ending. [sp]Connor has his moments, but overall he feels a bit confused on what his motives are. Hopefully if they somehow make another game with him he will fully accept he's an Assassin and get his shit together. As for the "real" storyline... I don't know why they had to end on such a cliffhanger once again. If they ended the game with Desmond saving the day I'd be fine with it. I also think Desmond is alive because if you collect all those pivots I presume his mind gets uploaded somewhere.[/sp] Is it just me or they put less effort into non-main mission conversation animations?
Connor's concept look was so much better than the final look, he actually resembled desmond in the concept look
I'm actually glad he didn't resemble Desmond because Altair and Ezio both looked exactly like him. (until Ezio grew up and got a beard and shit)
