The war tomahawk is my favourite. [editline]5th December 2012[/editline]
I once saw a child get hit with an explosion he just phased out like when the animus starts deleting stuff.
Has anyone noticed how the beggar childrens voices get a bit wheezing when you give them money? The bastards at Ubi made the little fuckers unkillable. The previous forms of beggars could easily been scared away by pulling out your weapon of choice. But these kids won't fuck off, so I do then unimaginably cruel [sp]I shot a dog :([/sp], took them a few seconds realise what happened and run away.
I used the tomahawk for the entire game
I bought this last night and played it for a quick hour this morning. This franchise always blows me away with the movement animations; it's all so well blended together.

Every time I met them I was on the move and lost them quickly. But yeah, their voices are annoying.
Even though all the weapons have different stats you can pretty much finish the game with the basic stuff. I didn't even have a sword until about sequence 10. Still, it bugs me they made a knife have the best stats instead of some ultimate axe since the animations are clearly made for wielding a tomahawk.
I'm fairly certain that the War Tomahawk is the strongest small weapon in the game.
I don't give the children money. You have to run a good distance away or just start killing guards to make them leave. Can't believe you shot a dog to scare them. I literally almost gave up on liberating New York when it told me to put down the sick dogs. I wont even kill guard dogs that bark at you to call attention.

Dogs aren't redcoats.
Dogs aren't redcoats.
But they're rabid in New York and guard dogs WILL give away your location. They're a threat.
i have a £10 voucher on uplay, worth using it towards AC3?
I'd get Far Cry 3 to be honest
i got the voucher from purchasing far cry 3 insane edition
Is it not possible to have two double barrel pistols? Every time I try to equip one it magically switches to the Pitcairn-Putnam pistol next time I go through a loading screen. That damn gun is a curse, I can't get rid of it.

game looks p good but i really hate how they screwed up with the cinematics, the real cinematics and the cinematic scenes in missions. battle scenes are very quiet, same with certain cutscenes which feel like they're just begging for certain sound effects like yelling, swords clashes and such. Other example would be like how the rainstorm that connor takes cover from in the barn towards the start is completely silent aside from two rumbles of lightning, no sounds of rain or wind. there's also some animations glitches and the facial expressions are either very underplayed or the tech is lacking for displaying them. action cinematics sometimes lack required "intensity", this is amplified by the complete silence of the short awkward pauses the characters sometimes take because of the aforementioned lack of ambient and other sound effects, also the ai doesnt act believably in all in-gameplay mass battle scenes and strictly scripted coreography would've achieved a better result to look at. edit: also camerawork isnt satisfying theres no feel of reveal or dramaticness at the appropriate times and theres a lack of location shots
I had more problems with in-game cutscenes having terrible lip-syncing and overall lifeless look. Only those that could be skipped (the movie-like ones) were good because they were clearly mocap'd. They really need to hurry up and release a simple patch that fixes the pistols and your colors changing back to the default one during cutscenes.
Is there any way you can let Connor grow his hair back and / or put his hood back on? I finished the game and Connor still looks like some dumb-ass brawler.
You should have the hood down only while in the homestead area. As for hair, the Prison, Kidd's and Native American outfit give you hair back.
edit: also camerawork isnt satisfying theres no feel of reveal or dramaticness at the appropriate times and theres a lack of location shots
Play the entire game in target cam for 120% intensity
I don't know how, but somehow I keep killing civillians. If my character couldn't do it, why am I able to.
lol, it's a video game, bro, i'd kill a wounded autistic cuddly whale if i could.
I had trouble killing a mother bear because of the cute little bears, and how they would lost their mother. But then i realized it's just a game and they have no feelings.
I had trouble killing a mother bear because of the cute little bears, and how they would lost their mother. So does anyone know exactly (possible post ending spoilers) [sp]How the hacker pivots work? And what happens when you get all of them?[/sp]
I had trouble killing a mother bear because of the cute little bears, and how they would lost their mother. But then i realized it's just a game and they have no feelings.
I actually wanted to kill the baby bears, too, because without their mother they would most likely die anyway but the game doesn't let you do that. While hunting I always felt that I would make most of Frontier species endangered in few months.
So does anyone know exactly (possible post ending spoilers) [sp]How the hacker pivots work? And what happens when you get all of them?[/sp]
You'll have to triangulate the position of each pivot and you'll get 1 cheat from each pivot.
Loved the game, especially the engine and gameplay. I loved the Haytham bit too but Connor's [SP]story just didn't cut it for me. As much as I disliked Charles Lee, there was just no motivation for me to kill him compared to Rodrigo Borgia. With Rodrigo, there was a great build up of character to him that made you want to hate him, I didn't find that with Lee.[/SP] You know, it's really annoying when I preferred the Haytham sequences to Connor.. I just didn't find Connor to be a character I cared about and kind of reminded me of Altair (however that was rectified with Altair sequences in Revelations). Also the ending, [SP]I loved when Minerva walked in and there was a "two sides" thing going on. I thought this bit was great and I actually quite liked the idea of Minerva's vision, however it would have blurred the "historic" and "modern" differences we have in the current games. One thing I didn't like was the news report saying everything was okay, it was like a puff of smoke as if that was it. However, during the credits when you see Juno walk off and saying those words, I liked that[/SP] I think you need to avoid bad thoughts on the [SP]ending of AC3 and think of how the next game will be. They've given us a hint of what's to come and pretty much created an enigma regarding Desmond's fate especially with the pivots at the end[/SP]. If we'd have seen [SP]Desmond walk away fine after touching that object, what real consequence would there have been? Minerva's view which kills billions and restarts civilisation or Juno's idea of touching the object and walking away fine? That would have made the choice a much easier decision. I think that's why Desmond had to "die" which made consequences in both choices.[/SP] Lastly, regarding [SP]the bleeding effect and learning his skills and being all for nothing.. Desmond and the group had the idea that going to this underground place was the solution to the problem. They were expecting to find the key and hit some activation switch. But really, his skills have been useful defensively such as the breakout at the end of AC2 and the journeys to Brazil and Abstergo. Had he not learned them skills, they wouldn't have even made it to those two choices at the end of AC3[/SP] Okay, rant over :v:
You'll have to triangulate the position of each pivot and you'll get 1 cheat from each pivot.
But no secret cutscene of mindfuckery? It doesn't even hint why exactly the pivots exist or who was talking to you? Ubisoft, I am dissapoint.
