That's because there are a lot more guards than in the previous games
Which is fine, since it was piss easy to escape before
It's basically the same, break line of sight and kill anyone who investigates
I would like to see that they decrease the amount of enemies in the game and make single enemies a lot harder. It's sometimes ridiculous how many soldiers Connor is able to kill without taking a scratch.
So I just played through the Hidden Secrets DLC. Well, it's just made of preorder stuff so I shouldn't be surprised it adds about 15 minutes to the game. I'm not sure why they didn't include the Benedict Arnold missions.

Because that is PS3 exclusive, not pre-order exclusive.

To do that, they would need to completely change the combat. Right now a tough enemy is just a normal enemy but you need to disarm them instead of hit them after the block.

johnson offered an alternative where they wouldn't be dead :v:

I doubt it would've lasted long.

The PC Deluxe Edition has it too

A change in the combat system would be neat, we had the nearly the same combat for 4 games now. Make it more tactical and difficult, not simply bashing the attack button and doing counter attacks. It's still fairly easy to kill the harder enemies.
The combat system in this game feels a bit more fluid but it's easy just like it always was. The only difference is that now instead of just attacking and countering you sometimes have to break defense.
More and more I'm noticing so many graphical issues. Clipping was issue since the first game so I got used to that. A lot of the outfits have these see-through textures. Those that from the front look normal but from behind they don't exist.
I finished the game today with $31 in total. As in, that was all the money I had ever gotten as Connor and had never spent any, felt strange. The game is so easy to do with no upgrades, I think I went through 80% of the game with the hidden-blade and sometimes the tomahawk, never needed anything else.

Yeah, no armor upgrades annoyed me and that. It just felt unnecessary to upgrade weapons either..
Exactly, with no armor system there was nothing to spend money on. Maybe for some crafting but you never needed too much for that. As for weapons their stats mean nothing, only difference I noticed was against Jägers who go down quicker with better weapons (but during normal story gameplay you never encounter them).
Use only the tomahawk, even the default one. It kills the enemies the quickest.
Sorry if this has already been asked but is there a way to disable mouse acceleration/smoothing? I would play with my gamepad but personaly I've always found Assasin's Creed works better with mouse and keyboard
There hasn't been a 3rd multiplayer event yet has there?
I've sold more couches than I've murdered templars, I think.

Sadly, I don't know of a way. I've been putting up with this shit since AC2.
Fortunately however the game isn't really super dependent on fast or precise mouse movement, so I don't find it has too much of a negative impact on my play.
New holiday update: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/739410-Assassin-s-Creed-III-Holiday-Patch-Spoilers-Forums
Seems like they finally fix the second gun disappearing.
I have some framerate problems in citys. When im out in the open my fps stays around 50-60 fps and then it drops to around 26-30 in boston and new york

You can actually buy a dagger that has the same stats but is just a little bit quicker than the Assassin tomahawk. Before I bought it, if there were two Jägers and I had disarmed one (and was attacking him), the other one always had time to strike before the death of his friend. With the dagger, you can basically just focus on one man at a time and go through everything like a hot knife through butter.
I only tested the best sword (Washington), axe (War Tomahawk) and assassin tomahawk. With the sword just like you mentioned I couldn't kill disarmed Jäger before his pal attacked me, but with both tomahawks I could. It's true that with War T. or the Broken Sword knife you might do it even faster but I think the assassin t. is more iconic.
And is the update already released?

The Hidden Secrets update was released ages ago.
That's DLC, I'm talking about the holiday update/patch.
Oh, not too sure. Not yet I believe.
Anyone got this for PC and want to team up for some co-op/mp?
