This multiplayer event is killing me. Anyone on ps3 wanna help me out?
Got AC3 with my SSD, also got a free AC2. This was the 24th and it said "Working" on the code for AC2. Today I received an email that my code was ready. What, they were out of codes? They couldn't generate another one?
I'm only about 5 minutes in AC: Brotherhood and I already feel this will be way better than AC2.
I'm only about 5 minutes in AC: Brotherhood and I already feel this will be way better than AC2.
In AC2 you rise up to be a badass, in Brotherhood you're a badass the whole way through. With all the optional stuff included, it really feels like you make a difference in Rome. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline]
I'm playing AC2 and it's so good. Only thing I'm missing is the more fluid combat from AC3 and better graphics of course. And the Templars are portrayed as pure evil, which is a bit cheap. But I really like Ezio maturing, side missions that don't take much time and reward you nicely, rewards (mainly money) for story missions... The economy system is nice and simple and I like how the more invest the better your city looks.
The Templars were portrayed as pure evil until ACIII, when some of them made good points and the others were dicks.
Just finished AC3, that ending was garbitch. [editline]4th January 2013[/editline] That 10 hours credit sequence too.
I'm only about 5 minutes in AC: Brotherhood and I already feel this will be way better than AC2.
I like AC2 more, but really for the fact that A:Two is longer B:You kill more people. But then again, brotherhood has a lot of sideqeusts
The first mission you play as Desmond in AC3 made me wish that there would be a game in a modern city where you play as Desmond.
I was playing AC3 with my cousin's PS3. Boy, this game took me for a ride.

Fucking Ubisoft and having to have their credits list everyone who works at their millions of studios and their distant relatives. Uncomfortable and kinda annoyed at when I first played as him. It was little things though, so they didn't ruin the experience. Shit like, he hasn't even been Connor yet, and somehow he is already picking up his running style and movements?
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed they used all Connor's animations for Desmond right away. Also they didn't keep their promise that Desmond does a spin when getting over obstacles while Connor doesn't. Multiple times when I played as Connor and get over obstacles the faster way I did that spin. Anyway back to Brotherhood, still can't say anything bad about it.

I really think that a big, modern city would have been great for an Assassin's Creed game.
I understand what you mean. I really think that a big, modern city would have been great for an Assassin's Creed game.
The problem is nowadays we have CCTV and with forensics murder investigations go a lot further than some guard shouting into the street. A modern game would have to disregard all of that or be very careful.
I think WW1 is as far as AC game would still make sense.
I don't think a modern day Assassin's Creed would work well in an open world setting, it'd have to be level based, with Hitman style open ended levels.
i'm having a problem with Brotherhood. The game constantly stutters/lags. There is no end to it, making the game unplayable. I have no idea what's wrong; I played AC2 and AC3 fine on high.
So, the first time you're kind of forced outside the animus, I was walking around in Eagle Vision and I noticed this women there, looked kind of like the girl helping you at first. I'll see if I can get a picture. Couldn't get her 'back' but now that I thought about maybe it's Juno?
[sp] You get emails later in the game about how Shaun / Rebecca is seeing her around the place as they go day to day. She also pops up standing by the animus too, I noticed. [/sp]

But what the fuck do I know.

But what the fuck do I know.
Basically, this. Abstergo pretty much IS the police, as well as every major company, government, etc. I don't see it being that difficult to make up a story where they have to capture but not kill Desmond, which would make it like every other Assassin's Creed game. I just think it would be hard, especially in the city environment to have places to climb. You would be limited to either rooftops or the streets, and the sides of buildings would be possible, but if they are as tall as the ones Desmond was climbing in, it would take about 20 minutes to reach the top. [editline]5th January 2013[/editline] Now that I think about it, it would work pretty well. Hey, actually, very well I guess. I just don't know how they would implement the cars in the city.
Okay, first annoying thing about Brotherhood. Those fucking Da Vinci inventions. Glad I destroyed all of them.
I don't think a modern day Assassin's Creed would work well in an open world setting, it'd have to be level based, with Hitman style open ended levels.
Make a love child between AC and "Catch me if you Can" film. Make the new protagonist on the run from the FBI so they're always looking for you. Might not be on the same engine but the modern day city look and cars looks fine.

So I finally finished Brotherhood and with that I played every AC game released on PC. Brotherhood does a lot of things right, Revelations isn't as interesting but I think it refined some gameplay mechanics a bit more. I'm mostly talking about the economy system. I think the best one would be mix between AC2 and AC3. Where you build/rebuild your homestead with missions and maybe investments. The visuals will improve, you will get better stuff and it even makes you some money, too. Brotherhood and Revelations felt a bit disappointing, you rebuild whole cities and the rewards aren't that great.

For the casual gamer, they're going to run right over that and I never even touched it, yet still had plenty of cash to spend on items in the game. The main problem is, there's nothing to spend your money on compared to recent AC's.
Yeah, in AC3 there is no armor and now it doesn't matter at all what weapon you are using. So you don't really need money. Plus chests in AC3 contain much more money, too, so trading is pretty unnecessary.

The one in AC3 is a mess to navigate.
Why is assassins creed 2 on pc the worst thing ever?
Why is assassins creed 2 on pc the worst thing ever?
How come?
Why is assassins creed 2 on pc the worst thing ever?
It's not.
The economy system in Assassin's Creed needs to be severely improved or just thrown out in the future. Every AC game I end up with so much more money than I could possibly need. They need to make weapons useful and incredibly expensive in the future, but I doubt they will.
