Right now it's a very lightly modified version of the original reference picture, correct? In that case, some more dirtiness needs to be on his face.

All those light sprites are in there by default, but for some reason they all got amplified on the Alien Swarm engine.

If you are going to use those consider lowering the fake AO on it. The darkness on the bottom will contrast with any reasonable looking grass texture.
Fade to alpha at the bottom, then it will blend ideal with any grass texture
Would it be possible to put the flashlight on it's own power source like in episode 2? Because that is a better system IMO.

The thing about your Grigori is that his skin is too smooth currently.
On the grass/stones:
The stones look marvelous. Whilst id say that dense grass would make the game look much better, grass falling over makes it look shit. Also make the grass look less healthy to better fit the atmosphere.
On ravenholm.

model the windows and doors
obviously turn down the spotlights
darken the sky.

Progress on Kleiner, I've since toned down the cloth fold bump strength.
I'll be sticking him in a modelling programme and making his shoes look less like leather turds and accentuating details like buttons pockets and of course a shiny new pair of glasses.

Well obviously we cant have our HD textures even come close to cinematic mod quality because our alyx doesnt have huge tits and our maps wont have hans zimmer music playing at every corner.
