Oh. ok... Yeah that would be great!
Not really.
I hope the have forgotten about CSS
What do you mean dod:s has balance issues?? the rifle man is good for medium-long range, the k98 isnta kills to the chest, and the m1 requires to hits to most of the body for a kill... thompson and mp40 are pretty similar yes the bar my have a smaller clip size but you get more bullets in total than the STG44 snipers are pretty even MGs are balanced enough... the 30. cal has a slower firing rate but doesn't overheat, the mg42 has much higher fire rates but lacks duration, i think that's quite balanced the rockets do the exact same damage, but yeah, the mauser is possibly a little over powered but had a tiny clip size, while the m1 carbine is better at range... ON TOPIC: Why does Css need a update?? what's wrong with it the way it is?? it's still quite fun...
except the K98 is an instakill and has 100% accuracy as soon as you stand still even if you don't aim down your sights, it's ridiculously easy to use, compared to the garand which requires 2 hits to kill and has high recoil between the two shots [editline]03:15PM[/editline] and when you get MGs set up then the game gets in a long and never ending stalemate
that's why most servers limit MGs to one, even none... what I do to counter act a well dug in gunner is bring up a zook, or seeing as nobody gives ammo anymore, try to make it run out of ammo/wait for it to reload... you could always try to flank it... in all the dod maps, most of the commmon gunner positions are flankable... and regarding the k98, if you just manage to miss, it gives the m1 plenty of chance to kill you... seeing as you have to wait...
Well they're technically making a new one. Mihn Le (the original very first creator of Counter-Strike) is creating a new Counter-Strike-esque game called Tactical Intervention with Valve publishing it and helping him out a little. Look it up.
CS:S is stale beyond belief. Don't get me wrong, fun game, but after years and years of it, it gets bad. The sound of the ak-47 in gmod is now like nails on a chalkboard for me. I've had to change all the sounds and models to prevent myself from going insane.
Why use them then/play on a server with them?
counterstrike is a game that is as stands, a completely balanced game. if they where to make an update to the game they would destroy the perfection (or near enough to it) that they have created. why fix something if it aint broken.
I'd like a new CS, it would be better.
I'd like a new CS, it would be better.
Um, read better:
Well they're technically making a new one. CS:S is full of "haxors" and "nubs."
Wait, I don't get it. Why hasn't valve updated HL:DM or Ricochet, either? They are too focused on their new products to bother with small patches and fixes in their older games.Yes, I obviously picked ancient ones, but the point is the same. They are constantly tweaking and adding to TF2, to L4D one and two, they don't need to expand their workload any further. Just enjoy what you have, and play on some of the hundreds of reasonable servers left.
You can't disagree with the fact that Half-Life Deathmatch: Source seriously needs an update. The game is hardly playable at it's poor state.
Someone emailed gabe a month ago and asked if there were any future plans for CS:S, he said yes.
I want proof.
You can't disagree with the fact that Half-Life Deathmatch: Source seriously needs an update. The game is hardly playable at it's poor state.
And when you look at the date it was released, it brings a tear to your eye to see a game that rejected...
Tfc is better.

I always thought CS:S would be nice with achievements
I always thought CS:S would be nice with achievements
Everyone would cheat for them.
They eventually want to move it over to orange box like all the other games that they haven't done that with yet.
I'm perfectly content playing Gun Game and Zombie Escape. I found two really awesome servers, full to the brim, and I love it. The ZE can get really intense, especially on Jurassic Park. We actually started forming team strategies and I don't think I heard a single person say "noob" even once. GG can get kind of annoying, though, when somebody has an aimbot. I'm looking at you, yuk (guy on the server)!
counter strike source is perfect how it is and the way things are going with server addons and such valve really has nothing to focus on if they do need to update, i was thinking about this just today and being that css is the game with the most hacks achievements would be completed by the click of a button to hackers. point being, counter strike source is fine how it is... and if you dont like it go play team fortress classic or 1.6 because tf2 and most recent games dont need you :)
Half Life 2 Deathmatch needs an update too.
Yeah, people still t-pose when jumping long distances.
CS2 got shelved. They started work but it was put aside. Mihn Lee has gone to creating korean micro transaction games, which look great, but I hate the micro transaction method of payment.
CSS is still going strong..
Everyone would cheat for them.
That is their problem. If they want to cheat, they can. Acheivements are for those that want to challenge themselves at things, not cheaters. 10% Will cheat for them. 95% Will never get them. 5% Will then be called "The King".
And 110% will never pass their math course.
To be honest, I actually would prefer Tactical Intervention to CS:S. However, more frantic rounds? Just put in a damned respawn system. It'd work better for people who enjoy games where you can respawn instead of just waiting out, being bored & not getting any kills at all because you always get shot first. The weapons should be nerfed a bit; just make them a bit less powerful. But I like the system of purchasing weapons. Achievements all the way. It might allow for less cheaters.
People still play CS 1.6 There are some people who still play version 1.5
And 110% will never pass their math course.
It was an intentional joke. But if most of you did not get it, fine with me...
