• Has Valve Totally Forgotten About Counter-Strike:Source?

I agree, but there is no point now. Most of it is just filled with hackers and bots now, if there was a major update for it then noobs would get pwned all the time and complain about the hacking probably.
Oddly, I don't see too much hacking except on Surf servers. I dunno why people like to grief on those.
I dont think that Valve is big enough to update all those game.
It's because Valve can't really change CSS other than changing the engine.
Cs:s 2
They will update the game, they will.
Valve probably doesn't care about CSS enough to update it. They have bigger things to deal with, updating TF2 as often as they can and possibly working on Episode 3.
This game Teaches kids how to be a Fucking dumbwaitercocksucker bitching cunt...(Someone continue the list)
Valve probably doesn't care about CSS enough to update it. There's nothing that they NEED to do with CSS - It's balanced, most bugs are fixed and the community is happy.
CS is only fun on deathmatch servers. I can't do shit when I'm dead 75% of the time.
You could learn how to play the game. I couldn't care less if they don't update the game further, its fine as it is. The only thing I could think of is more weapons like more machine guns. Also those saying that it needs a respawn system, no it doesn't. The game is built around wiping out the other team, its not a deathmatch game, if you wanted to play a deathmatch game you should have bought a different game...
and I see less and less servers running nowdays.
Nuff Said Edit: I finally stopped the search after 3 minutes and ended up with 20k+ servers

Counter-Strike: Source cannot be updated. Other than any fixes to any left bugs and errors (which I don't think there are any), new content cannot be added to this game. Any changes to this game would make it something else, not CS. I am not expecting a new CS coming out as well because curent gaming world expects much more than what CS gives us. Games like Call of Duty satisfy gamers' needs, but new CS would not.
Cs:s 2
Well, a new Counter-Strike means a new Valve engine. Which means the title would not be Source, but something else. First CS is on Goldsource. CS:S is on Source. What could possibly come next, Counter-Strike: Silversource?

[editline]12:45AM[/editline] CS:S is crap anyway. It's filled with 11 year old kids with 99 cent microphones running around prefiring and spraying everywhere.
I hope they've forgotten, this is the one Valve game I've never liked.
Valve is working on CS2, I remember something being mentioned in an interview with Gabe around E3.
That was actually an interview question, Gabe asked what the community wanted next more, Portal 2, CS: 2, TF3, etc.
Gabe had a Voting if they should do CS2 or Portal 2 first. I voted CS2

And if you have problem with them on the mic disable in game voice perhaps?
That was actually an interview question, Gabe asked what the community wanted next more, Portal 2, CS: 2, TF3, etc.
He never said TF3... he only asked the community for CS2 and Portal 2.
not nessicarily, counter strike 1.6 was gold source(by turtle rock) and so whas counter-strike:condition zero... also by turtle rock...
CS 1.6 is just the latest version of CS. Condition Zero is not worth a mention in this thread at all. It didn't even come from Valve. Are you sure Turtle Rock created CS 1.6? I thought it was pure Valve. Also, the only thing I would add to CS:S is a pack of 50 achievements.
erm, CS1.6 and CZ have some differences, first being that CZ has higher poly models for viewmodels at least, it includes buy package system and the riot shield(useless) I'd double check the 1.6 thing if I could be arsed installing it to check... What do you mean CZ isn't worth a mention?? Yeah it had the useless shield but I personally think it was better than 1.6, with it's new features...
He never said TF3... he only asked the community for CS2 and Portal 2.
Watched that video 2 weeks after L4D2 was announced so I can't remember worth shit.
If Valve ever comes out with another counterstrike game I hope they really change it, while at the same time they would give features that would please the older counterstrike players. So maybe like the classic CS:S formula, includes other gamemodes that are different from the classic CS:S, new guns, new maps, and a better emphasis on teamwork.
"CS is only fun on deathmatch servers. I can't do shit when I'm dead 75% of the time." Well considering that Counter Strike has been out sine June 18th 1999, anyone who is new to the game now has a lot of catching up to do....10 years of catching up to do. Ive been playing Counter Strike since beta.. and have never been board of the game. You either like fps or you don't... I feel that the game will in time will need a graphic upgrade with perhaps a new engine, but the game play and feel of the game should stay true to its original predecessors. This being said... I won't stop playing Counter Strike until the last server possible has been shutdown...and I highly doubt that Counter Strike will ever die. <3

I don't want to rely on little 10 year old jimmy to not kill all the hostages before running outside and getting filled full of lead. I want counterstrike to stay the game where if you're good enough, you can bumfuck the other team by yourself, without relying on team mates to do much else then soak up some bullets occasionally.
You are still waiting for engi ipdate? What the fuck do you want? The soldier/demo update was jsut realised yesterday. You people are so unthankfull, you make me sick
So you'd rather not let Valve update the Engineer?
