its just getting old, but it's probably going to go down in history as the worlds most competitive games, next to COD2, and like, idk BF2? Valve doesn't need to update CS:S. It has lots of players, plenty of servers and the community makes new gamemodes, maps and mods for it. It doesn't have any outstanding problems so far as they can see, so they are going to let it be. If Valve is going to make a Counter-Strike 2, they shouldn't call it CS2. It's probably not going to be a sequel so much as a remake with better graphics, because it has no storyline. It's just counter-terrorists stopping terrorists from doing things, it should be 'Counter-Strike: Revamped' if anything.

there should only be a new cs on a compleet nieuw engine.

It's not really fun anymore. Graphics are getting dated and games that are round-by-round are starting to disappear, thankfully. Something I did like about it though was how, if you're good, you can take out the whole other team by yourself.

I find it's more fun when you're one of the last few people to survive the round. But I agree, sitting out isn't that much fun either.
