i wonder how much damage 1 flint and tinder can do
Probably not much. Flint and Steel doesn't spread very far anymore.
It already has that function. I've pushed mobs through loads of times and I've thrown items through as well.
Oh, really? Sorry, I haven't played Mystcraft much since 1.3 came out, and even then, I didn't check that out. Sounds interesting. It's weird that mods have had features that seem pretty standard, but they're only added to the game after a while. I remember one mod called Invasion! for 1.0.0 that had Zombie pathfinding that allowed it to go upstairs and stuff. Then similar pathfinding was added an update or two later. I wonder if Jeb and Dinnerbone see that in mods and add it to the main game, or if it's just a coincidence.
Travel to my first age Endless checker-board "Meh" Make another descriptive book Use Suddenly a wild age appears All skepticism is gone.
Mystcraft is updated to 1.3.2. Have fun farming cows for leather for descriptive and linking books!
Alternatively find villages and LOOT THEIR LIBRARY
Another good thing to do is to find a mushroom biome age and go genocidal on cows. Lots of beef and leather. Generally I stock up on feathers and leather with Flat Biomes myself.
Where's the config file to turn off decay?
Where's the config file to turn off decay?
.minecraft/config mystcraft_config.txt options.decay=false
Decay is pretty amazing, while totally destructive. A made a world that I was going to use for mining, but made it poorly and it started to decay right off the bat. A couple hours later, this is how it ended up: [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/ukMIQq.png[/t] When I took that picture, the decay was at the point where it was happening so fast, chunks didn't have time to update. After I took that screenshot, I went to the menu so it would pause the game and update all the chunks in sight at the same time. This is a little before and after gif:
I can't seem to get mystcraft singleplayer tow ork whatsoever on my computer.. it just gets stuck on generating terrian
I can't seem to get mystcraft singleplayer tow ork whatsoever on my computer.. it just gets stuck on generating terrian
That was happening to me. Make sure it's a clean install, (install forge first ofc) and make sure it's the latest version of Mystcraft (0.9.2.01).
My only real problem with decay is when it gets to a certain point the map becomes unplayable.
That's the point of decay though, though I see what you mean. The idea is to encourage you to write stable ages. Decay will make more sense once you can rewrite ages.
That's the point of decay though, though I see what you mean. The idea is to encourage you to write stable ages. Decay will make more sense once you can rewrite ages.
I should clarify that: The map becomes unplayable because of lag.
I installed it but all im getting is a black screen, wat do?
Probably not much. Flint and Steel doesn't spread very far anymore.
Snapshot suggests it may be being reintroduced, not infinite but much faster, lasts longer and spreads on grass.
I installed it but all im getting is a black screen, wat do?
You need to delete META-INF folder. it's located here: AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft. Open minecraft JAR file with winrar or anything that can open the file. Inside there delete only META-INF folder. And then try start MC again.
Snapshot suggests it may be being reintroduced, not infinite but much faster, lasts longer and spreads on grass.
Depending on the difficulty, fire will spread farther and last longer. So on Hardcore, it would probably be like before Beta 1.6.
Depending on the difficulty, fire will spread farther and last longer. So on Hardcore, it would probably be like before Beta 1.6.
Damn. I want the fire to be like before Beta 1.6, but I don't want to play on hardcore and have my shit deleted. Or play on hard, if say I am building something but still want fire to spread. Oh well..
How do you get back to the over world if you forgot to make a linking book before you left to a new age?
How do you get back to the over world if you forgot to make a linking book before you left to a new age?
Unfortunately, if you forgot to make a linking book, you either have to create a new nexus and keep linking through ages until you get a Star Fissure, or use NEI/TMI to cheat in a nether portal block and go to the Overworld that way.
So, how does decay affect placed blocks? Would it be possible to make an unstable world full of ores and throw together a RedPower mining machine without too much worry of the world eating it? :v:
So, how does decay affect placed blocks? Would it be possible to make an unstable world full of ores and throw together a RedPower mining machine without too much worry of the world eating it? :v:
I'm pretty sure the Redpower stuff just breaks the moment decay pulls it down.
Decay works based on contact. A redpower mining rig using block breakers would get fucked because it has to touch the blocks it mines. A buildcraft quarry would be safe since it digs with an entity. An industrialcraft mining well would also get fucked because it uses physical blocks. The arcane bore from thaumcraft is safe because magic.
This looks like an extremely fun mod, I'll get it soon.
I suggest to people having problems with installation is to use MultiMC.
got dense ores on my technic pack I overloaded the thing with dense ores and started mining I HAD WAAY more resources than I needed game got boring so I just restored world back to when I didn't use mystcraft
Mystcraft is pretty amazing. I love to have books in my main bedroom in my house that can take me to worlds that are basically paradises. No nighttime, big rolling landscapes, etc. Being able to switch to that at any time is too awesome.
got dense ores on my technic pack I overloaded the thing with dense ores and started mining I HAD WAAY more resources than I needed game got boring so I just restored world back to when I didn't use mystcraft
Unfortunatly you'd have to stay in that world for any quarries to run, unless I'm just using world anchors incorrectly.
destruction catalyst even the mining drill pretty op [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] mystcraft without dense ores I still use though obviously only bad part bout it for me is that its so OP [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] I guess it's not OP if I don't use my destruction catalyst though
