Red don't have much sand, and glass isn't really their thing.
Use halfblocks for windows.

That's a very good point, halfblocks or even stair-based patterns would be more fitting.

I've taken all the flags in the Nation Craft contributions thread (even if they were slight changes) so far and put them into a video. Video will upload later. I named the song 'Green Man's Land" because I couldn't think of anything. It may be a little shabby, so tell me what you would remove.

In terms of each nations strengths in fighting my mind picturered it as this:
Green - Large numbers of militia using bows (lots of wood/feathers/ possibly surface or riverbed gravel) or basic swords. Armour would be leather due to high quantities of cattle, smaller true fighting force but would be able to call on militia (each worker should maintain and train with weapons of his or her choice). Tactics would involve massed archer fire and possibly pig cavalry archers. Oh my fuck I would like to see pig cavalry archers.
Blue - Smallest ammount of geniuine fighters, rely on stealth and subterfuge mainly however a small set would maintain plate or mail armour (Nordic style stuff bought from red). Would rely on spies and traitors for most of their combat, and make use of their inhospitable climate (Snow buildings for stealth on boarders etc.) Ambushes would be their main style of attack, lead the other into a ravine with freindlys crouched (names not visible) in snow walls. Attack commences and the walls are broken to reveal far mroe blues than expected.
Red - Millitary background, but I was thinking of it being an elite foucused military force. That being youths in red wishing to join would have to endure challanges and run with gangs of other youths to prove their worth to join up. This would result in a hardened core of fighters with privilages such as subsidised above ground housing. Red would fight defensivly using their terrain and have their buildings as defensive as possible. Things like lava above corridors so they could be flooded easily to avoid rear attacks etc. (could even use stairs and lava to have lit corridors without torches or hellblocks) They would use all weapons (whatever they train into as youths) but would wear no armour (Think about it, lava ash plains + heavy plate armour = uncomfortable fighting enviroment not to mention them fighting underground) They would utilise sappers in combat as well.
Obviously this is all just my mind running wild and not a complete picture or even a balanced one ^_^

I kind of imagined that the nations flags would be represented by something prosperous in their land, like in green nation it might have a tree on the flag per example.

I could certainly have a go at it, but I'd definitely need more information about the various characters first.
There isn't much in the way of the character development at the moment.
It's half the point of the fiction to develop this :)
