Sounds like fun. Is there gonna be any notion of consequence for wrongdoing, though? If you don't use a bit of divine intervention, everyone ever will be a criminal. DarkRP is a good example.
I think a good idea would to have policemen who have some seriously ridiculous gear (diamond armor, bows & an arrow hopper?) which doesn't give criminals much of a chance unless there was real organization or teamwork involved. That way, lone criminals would have to use a bit of guile and sneakiness rather than "hurr durr i am pirating u r things with my sworde!!!"
Maybe they'd abuse it, though - but you could always make the penalty for abusing it really harsh and require an IC application process of some sort.
things like running shops, police, and defending jobs are boring. I'm considering doing like Esteam and Asaratha did with NPCs that sell stuff.
Maybe you could have "exchange buildings" where you would put things into a chest with a huge capacity & set their price, and people could buy them from the chest. They would be enchanted to prevent robbery or something like that, or have NPCs guarding them. That way, there'd still be a player economy without shopkeeps needed.
So colonizing, is it a viable way for our wonderful nations to gain even more riches than they already have? I mean today's society reflects back to the mercantillistic views of the 1700's. I would love to be the founder of a Blue Nation Colony; I would name it SnowBros!
Will snow regenerate in Blue's land? Because right now the feature is left out of beta 1.3. This would be a good opportunity to bring it back in.
