I got an email back from Alison, so it looks like I might be going to Valve on Wednesday! I'll post pictures after I go if anyone cares

ask them if you can see meet the pyro
:v:
If it exists, he can. Same was with Meet the Medic.

Shit, I read your post wrong and thought you thought the video was never released.
I emailed somebody at Valve, with predictable results.
Hi Marlamin.
We have a number of Valve servers in Frankfurt right now, but we’re in the process of building up a big datacenter in Luxembourg that we hope will go live within the next month or so. We’ll be hosting a bunch of servers there.
Robin.

Subject: Valve TF2 servers
Hey Robin,
After being a longtime UKCS-servers only player, I decided to check out the Valve TF2 servers and noticed quite a bit of lag due to me being in the Netherlands and the server being in Seattle.
Are there any plans on launching official TF2 servers based in the EU?
Regards,
Marlamin

The fact they are building up a "big" datacenter must mean for something more than just TF2 servers.
Sent an email to Alison about possibly getting my Half Life 2 Episode two poster signed. Hopefully I hear back from them, was I supposed to mail to Alison or someone else?
I should get GabeN to sign my huge e-penis.
(rate optimistic)

You should mail Gabe instead. Gabe always redirect the mail to Alison.
Still waiting on mine, only been a week though.
I haven't got a reply from Alison. 99% sure they were like "Russia? Fuckthatshit.jpg". If I won't see anything in my email tomorrow I'm hanging myself or begging someone of you guys to send it here.

Did you have to beg, I mean really?
This thread gave me an idea.
[release]Hey Robin,
I have this terrific friend that absolutely adores TF2, and it turns out he's also an aspiring professional modeler. His name is REDACTED, and he's spent the last year and a half teaching himself all there is to know about modeling in Blender. I really think some of the things he has made have some great potential to be added in to TF2. He's focused his efforts almost entirely on TF2, and I would love to see one of his models put into the game at some point. He's a great friend, and is so focused on what he does that I truly believe he'd do well modeling professionally in the future.

I have some examples of his work.

Yes.
-snip-
Yes.
Instead of begging, you could've said "please" or "I'm sorry" at least once. And you also seem like you just need free swag signed by some people because sending the email to Gabe would look like you really want your email to be read by himself. Instead, you looked like "Who do I contact to get free stuff?". It's kind of funny that Condition Zero was in Valve's hands just for some time before they gave it to Gearbox, then to Ritual Entertainment and then Turtle Rock Studios.
Also, no reply. :suicide:
I emailed Valve hoping to get a few of my games autographed about six days ago... How long does it normally take them to respond? I sent it to contact@valvesoftware.com... is that right?

Doesn't really matter where you send, it all gets forwarded to Alison Krey I think. Can't tell you about the time of reply, depends. Takes 30 minutes or about a week or two for them to reply.

I forgot about that. Now I feel like a douche.
Too bad that you got no reply, by the way.

:h: I'm just waiting an eternity and feel like they didn't send it at all because Alison never replied to the "status of my package" email I sent to her. She doesn't like me. :saddowns:

Isn't the submit section for the site the place to do those?
Alison replied and said for me to go ahead and mail my posters and they will sign up. Valve is such a nice company.
I asked Gabe what kind of PC he had. I was wondering since he should have a top notch computer ;)

Does Gabe reply faster if asked through Valve's site? Because to me it seems otherwise. :saddowns:
