If I was going to send Valve an email, I would ask them if they could make that Saxton adventure, his own FPS. At least on the Source, you know such a hunting adventure would look good.

Just got a reply from Christina Engel for my email to Alison, she said that they had no access to their storefront from there, so she couldn't get a co-op bot poster signed for me. Well that sucks, I'll keep on trying though, I'm gonna get a poster signed by the Portal 2 Team whether they like it or not! Don't think I'm a dick btw, I think I'd deserve something from Valve on my birthday.

Last month I applied for a job at Valve (for Writer) and while I was anxiously waiting a response, I occupied myself by creating lyrics for spoofs of "Want You Gone" and "Still Alive." Of course, only a week after I applied, I noticed the position had been taken down. (My timing is pretty sucky, what can I say? Most likely the job had been filled by the time I submitted my portfolio/resume.) So on a whim I decided to make a recording of one of the silly spoofs with slightly rewritten lyrics to reflect that the position was already taken, and sent the link to both Dina (their HR chief) and Gabe. I didn't really expect a response and OMG guys guess what?!!!! Yeah I didn't get one. :) Anyway unlike that other chick who created a video in hopes of catching Valve's attention, this wasn't intended to be a real audition... my experience/resume is pretty spot-on by itself and I'm not an animator or anything. It was just a way to have them maybe keep me in mind if any future jobs crop up. And that's my awesome story of batting .000 out of 3 attempts to get any responses from Valve (including the original cover letter/resume). Go me!
