probably Modular Combat, too bad there were about 4 servers for it...
Seconded.
Thirded, Dayhard blows all of the other mods out of the park.
Garry's mod 9 was my favorite, ahh the good old days. Mistake of Pythagoras was very epic aswell.
How come noone mentioned MINERVA:Metastasis yet? It's fucking amazing
How come noone mentioned MINERVA:Metastasis yet? It's fucking amazing
It's nothing special to be honest. Don't see why everyone loves it so much.
Tales from the Galactopticon
Agreed
It's nothing special to be honest. Don't see why everyone loves it so much.
The mapping is incredible. Other than that, there's something to be desired.
Only mod I enjoyed was Antlion Troopers
Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II
Empires/Gmod. Best mods EVUR.
The mapping is incredible. Other than that, there's something to be desired.
I really liked the part where you were running around without any weapons. I like it when games let me take a break from killing stuff without dumping me in a room that I can't leave until the cutscene ends.
My favourite hl2 mod is most probably Zombie Panic, so much fun to be had......
You're probably just not in to the cool weapons. It has a kimber with a laser sight! And it has all weapons the normal SMOD has too.
First part is true, but regular SMOD weapons have been disabled by default. You can find some by glitching, however, you cannot use them. Back to topic: CSS:SCI FI (latest version 3 HARDWIRED) and SMOD: Tactical are great.
Half-Life2: Wars It seems to have potential :sigh:
Zombie Stress. When you're mad after being killed in CSS or get pissed because work is somehow annoying, this mod is perfect for relieving stress.
Research and Development all the fucking way! :woop:
Half-Life 2 SMOD ITS FREAKING AWESOME (caps <.<) Not the tactical thing, thats pretty gey
Redux 8 is good too. but for some reason story DOES NOT and WILL NOT progress for me.
Garrys mod. It evolved into so much more.
How come noone mentioned MINERVA:Metastasis yet? It's fucking amazing
It was okay, not all that amazing but still fun. My fav will always be Zombie Master Though.
Dayhard was an awful mod. I tried it out, and I had no idea where to go, it was full of bugs, I could see unfinished parts of the map, etc. It was bad.
I didn't really have no idea where to go at any part of the mod. For me, while dayhard was buggy, it was more fun than anything, and if a mod gets the gameplay right then it's good in my books.
Obsidian Conflict www.obsidianconflict.net
Insurgency is pretty good.
I quite like the look of Insurgency, haven't gotten the chance to play it, though.
DayHard was great and not boring.
Dangerous world. That made me jump at times in 'Sudden fear' (creepy Chapter).
Dayhard.
I was like 12 when I first played this. The hotel or whatever made me shit bricks. [editline]09:02PM[/editline] Oh and R&D [editline]09:03PM[/editline]
Mistakes of Pythagoras
Fuck, now I need to change my pants. I loved that mod, and the HL1 "version" was good too. Peaces like us.
Dystopia and Gmod.
Research and Development was one of the most surprising and enjoyable mods I've ever played. It was like Portal, but with the humor being purely circumstantial, the puzzles being more akin to Half Life, the zaniness cranked up to eleven and the difficulty scaled up to be truly challenging. Plus, the maps were intricately detailed with all kinds of custom models and entities to aid the atmosphere, and come on, pit battles with three Antlion Guards and a Strider in a makeshift armored-car with a buzz-saw in lieu of a bumper and fucking NOS... It was the complete package, and you just felt good about yourself for being able to consistently do more than stimulate the "exterminator" sector of your brain. Plus, it's been so many years since Episode 2 came out that I'd nearly forgotten what it felt like to encounter a puzzle and NOT know or suspect the method of solving it. It provided a sort of warmth I'd been missing.
Excluding Gmod, Dayhard, Get A Life and Synergy are pretty much on the same level. I haven't tried Research and Development yet though.
