About wheatley's voice, I think that yes, he should get a new actor. This was PLACEHOLDER, that means the work is average at best. They have someone better than this, who will do plenty of cuts, and will likely have some filtering. We should trust valve to know what we want, and not use what we think we want.
He won't follow you everywhere. It's Wheatley-GLaDOS.
I realise this, but with potential other characters (Cliff Johnson?) I fear the cast may become too colourful
Personally, I don't like the character Wheatly at all (from what has been shown). I hate the idea of having comic relief in a game as dark as Portal because it just ruins the atmothsphere. That's part of why Portal was so good. Because it was only you and GLaDOS and it was some of the most pitch black humor ever presented.
But now, with Wheatly it's just silly.
On the contrary, I find a sense of humour would be a welcome addition if they did it right. And it appears they have, in my opinion.
I like Wheatley's script but I see what he means about it being annoying when he cuts if GLADoS
more like alot of env_projectedtextures
which is already available in the current ep2 engine we have now
Portal 1 had humour too...
Woots for the Aussie Ball. Even though he's british.
