Is there melee weapons in this?
Is there melee weapons in this?
I don't think so. They don't seem like they would have any use in a gunplay-centric game like this. Here are the new screens featuring the M1911 (Beretta): Does the second pic's tie make sense to anyone?
I've called the police, they're coming to take you away
Is there melee weapons in this?
I think you can use your guns as melee at close range
It's not really "Max's favourite since day one" but I guess it makes for someone who knows stuff about guns to prefer a 1911 to a beretta.
Shooting down gang members in a Aloha shirt. 10/10
Yup. It's a similar material to his shirt from MP1.
Maybe he made that tie out of the shirt after all those gunshots had torn it in pieces :v:
wait, since when is the 1911 a beretta or max's favourite gun? some pls explain
wait, since when is the 1911 a beretta or max's favourite gun? some pls explain
It's kinda not, but it kinda makes more sense to be someone's who knows stuff about guns favorite.
The gun that Max has had "since day one" is M9 service Beretta, NOT 1911. 1911 is a whole new weapon to the series. I'm guessing it's the inbetween choice between Beretta and Desert Eagle in terms of power.
It's kinda not, but it kinda makes more sense to be someone's who knows stuff about guns favorite.
doesn't matter if it's the better gun, them saying it's his favourite since day 1 is kinda bullshit. not that it matters and i'll love the game anyway, i just find it odd that's all.
Rockstar said the singleplayer is as long as Max Payne 1/2. That's around 8 hours. They're counting on replayability of the singleplayer (because you will play it again) and the multiplayer. I know I'm going to be going through the singleplayer at least four times for the achievements.

I want to fix up that guy before I post him here. Trying to fiddle with adding weapons to Max Payne 2, too. Got everything working except for HUD bits. [editline]26th April 2012[/editline] Argh Hullu! I will admit the M1911 thing is confusing. The theory was that he handed his Berettas in to the NYPD when he quit/retired, but now it just seems like Rockstar completely replaced the Berettas with the M1911s. I suppose it's possible that in the eight years between Max Payne 2 and 3 he adopted the M1911s as his new favorite.

I was p much always topped off with ammo for them so I didn't feel guilty when I wanted to unload entire magazines into a particularly annoying motherfucker!

Glad they're willing to adjust the non-issue as soon as possible. Good on them. Here's more about it:
http://twitter.com/#!/RockstarGames/status/195642792779841536 @antzpant @Samlouist The 1911 is inspired by Max’s classic handguns such as the Beretta and Desert Eagle
It's good of them to respond so quickly to something like this. It shows that they care what the fans think.
After seeing how much it will take for a PC to run it on top settings I think I may go for a console purchase instead. It's a real shame since it would of looked nice in my steam list with the previous games.

I just love people who later bitch about their 30 fov locked gaming experiences on consoles. Be a man and get a PC if you want real gaming. You can quote me on that! P.S. Did I mention I hate consoles, not the console playing people? No flame intended...
Those are minimum to maximum supported hardware. We don't know what the recommended specs are.
Well I hope it is a hell of a lot less. Max Payne is one of those rare TPS games that feel good to play on the PC.

Some people don't get enough time to play games to justify spending £600 on a computer.

I can't wait to spend my weekends playing multiplayer. Shit is gunna be cash. There is something about Rockstar and their online multiplayer that makes it feel fucking awesome. (Especially Red Dead Redemption) As we all know, the game is totally going to have matchmaking... but for a game like Max Payne, that really isn't a problem. I hope we're able to party up with friends like in Uncharted. If so, I don't think I would stop playing this game until GTA V released.
