Max Payne Series - Megathread - Games

Something tells me that this singleplayer is going to be cut short, seeing how so far cut-scenes are mixed with gameplay so that it's all in all a pretty shaky experience. :P [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] Also the controls.. What is VAULT? It's binded E same as Interact, but I wonder what it does. Roll is G, which is a very handy action but awkward to push. Crouch/Prone doesn't seem necessary at all, and when the near-death thing get triggered, you can't aim except the enemy that is supposedly going to kill you, or something.

I'm getting an update anybody else?

So many problems with this game... Yet i dont have any on 3 years old hardware, but on barely 30fps :v:

Just finished the game, 10 hours well spent. Gonna go try out multiplayer and arcade now.

Well, i press Launch, but nothing happens.

It turns out when I went to GameStop at 10:15 this morning, the games came in 15 minutes after I left. And they didn't even bother to call me/email me to let me know. I was mad.

How is the multiplayer? Does it get boring in a day or are there any good modes/unlockables?

I haven't had any problems with crashes. The game works perfectly until I try to sync my steam account with my rockstar account. I hit "yes" and it "checks activation" forever. I've restarted steam and validated files but to no avail. Some people on the steam forums are having the same problems but I can't find any solutions. Did this happen to any of you guys who have the game running or does anyone have an idea of what could be going wrong?

How long did it took you guys to decrypt the game?

SO thats cool, if you pause the game you can hide the menu and rotate the camera.

This is fucking pissing me off, when I went to play a server I alt tabbed to continue the download and I see it's 0 bytes and I can't resume the download, but I can decrypt it and after it reaches 100%, I need to download 6 gbs instend of 2 left.

I've only played a little multiplayer and I think it's pretty boring so far. Love the singleplayer though!

Shiiiiiet I can't get further than the "Initialization" screen. It just keeps loading forever. I've installed all the .NET and C++ stuff, and I've tried running it in all compatibility modes, as admin. But no. The best fit is Windows XP (Service Pack 3), which brings me as far as said initialization screen. The others just seem to bring me a black screen and/or crashing. I've also verified the game cache, with no success. Anyone who has had the same problem, and fought past it? [editline]1st June 2012[/editline] oh ye, I've also tried pressing the Home key, but the Social Club stuff doesn't show up.

Xbox FPers should get online and play the Social Club Multiplayer Event Playlist so we can try and beat Rockstar's crew

Who ever made and optimized MP3 PC version better be the same people who will optimize GTA5 PC version

Just finished, it was amazing all the way trough, had no crashes or bugs, except one part where I walked into a hallway and the hallway wasn't loaded and I ended up walking around a bit in an empty void, but it loaded fast enough. Now if I could only just launch it properly trough steam so I could try the multiplayer, that'd be great.

I'm tempted to buy this if even just as a reward for propper PC porting but I'm tight on money I just bought Diablo 3 and I have work to do man I wish I bought MP3 instead although D3 is one of the few games all my friends play :(

About 90% of the people have my problem of starting the game, and it just stopping the start and returned to desktop with no error reports.
