Max Payne Series - Megathread - Games

This game is fun so far. Playing on Hard hasn't been too bad, though there's a couple parts that stumped me till I got the enemy placements down. Gonna try some MP next. What do the other 2 difficulties do anyway?

this probably has been answered in the thread earlier, but since i have about 700 new posts i don't feel like going through them all and since i know you guys are total bros anyway i know you'll help me. the only problem i've had is that sometimes during the cutscenes the sound goes out completely and it doesn't go back on until the game resumes. anyone know how to fix this?

Am I the only one with occasional slowdowns on all settings (DX9 all low/maxed, DX11 all high/low, DX10/.1 all low/maxed)? AMD Phenom II x4 955 @3.2GHz 8GB DDR3 @1600Mhz MSi 6850 Cyclone Win7 HP 64bit

Euphoria is probably the best thing that could happen to the Bullet Time principle. Awesome videos.

Retail version is'nt here yet for me dammit.

The PC version runs fan-fucking-tastic on Max (Payne) settings. The only issue I encountered was when I shoot dodged in a multiplayer match my character just disappeared. Then after a few more seconds the entire game locked up.

Oh man, you can play as Max wearing the outfit from that scene at the very very end in arcade mode. Shootdodging with shorts, sandals and a baseball cap, hells yeha.

Yet to play a single online game cus I keep getting kicked for connection issues

Oh god, had a few rounds of the multiplayer with some of the FP crew a few hours ago. This is the best multiplayer I have actually played in a game EVER. I prefer this multiplayer to fucking battlefield.

I really wish I could play Multiplayer. It crashes everytime I click on it.

And then there's "laundry day Max" which is Max in nothing but boxers and his tank top.

I played with someone a bit ago but it doesn't seem like there's a way to join on crew specifically :/

Just finished story, Oh god that was one hell of ride, played it on hard and it wasnt as bad as I expected, only some bosses were tough... another awesome game by rockstar, but it is kind of short, i did it in like 8 hours and i didnt skip any cutscene, i was expecting about 12-15 but i guess multiplayer will be long time fun

So after reinstalling but removing the spaces from the area where it was going to install to (RockstarGames instead of Rockstar Games etc etc) it finally managed to launch once, closed it down again to watch some TV, came back to find that it once again cannot launch. I hope they fix this soon, I really wanna play.

Anyone know how to bypass the graphics limit? edit: what's so funny? :(

M10 is the best Multiplayer game, by far

Is anybody playing it on a drive other than C:/? This isn't the first time Rockstar has made a game that is broken if it's not on C:/. Vice City doesn't work if it's on drive E:/ or something.

why are all these third person games taking on this montra of "we're going to show in gory detail how your character died" first dead space now this. max can get his head practically blown off on numerous occasions in quicktime events can get his head practically blown off during normal gameplay get smashed by a truck and a wall etc. considering how many fucking times you die in single player it gets kind of annoying after a while. also im starting to get extremely pissed off at single player for the checkpoint system [B]HEY YOU FUCKS AT ROCKSTAR, GREAT WAY TO CREATE ADDITIONAL LENGTH TO THE GAME WITHOUT HAVING TO DO ANY WORK[/B]

Been downloading the game the entire day at about 600kbs (that's after 3 hour when I switched to the indie servers to get faster speed :)). Anyways, I left my PC on for the night, so im looking forward for tomorrow when it's done installing the game.

That was a fun social club event, I killed a couple devs and I even ended up in the stream before the game crashed for everybody. That's probably awkward when you're a developer who's streaming the game live.
