After seeing how much it will take for a PC to run it on top settings I think I may go for a console purchase instead.
It's a real shame since it would of looked nice in my steam list with the previous games.
It's minimum to maximum. As in "these are the lowest specs it will run on; these are the best components available right now". I can almost guarantee you it will run maxed out on a sub-$3000 machine.
Rockstar already have the community events up on Social Club. Starting with the PS3 on 18. May. PS3 is followed with 360 and then PS3 again. This continues until the end of May/beginning of June when the PC version comes out.
I can't wait to kill some Rockstars in their own game.

[editline]27th April 2012[/editline]
The episode will be posted online at GameTrailers' site a few days after the broadcast, so don't worry if you miss it.
It's good of them to respond so quickly to something like this.
It shows that they care what the fans think.
And then it turns out they had to re-do tons of voice acting about how much Max loved his [del]M1911[/del] Berreta.
*snip me big dumb*
How did I reduce Max Payne 1 to a window?
When is the first issue of the comic coming out? On the 15th or 29th?

Think we've seen enough. It's for the better if you don't watch anymore Max Payne 3 videos because soon there's nothing left to see for yourself.
That's true, but Rockstar's still hiding a good chunk of it. Regardless, I just can't get enough of Max Payne 3, so I have the episode set to record on my TiVo.

On an unrelated note, I figured out how to add weapons to Max Payne 2 with a begrudging amount of effort
The 1911 is inspired by Max’s classic handguns such as the Beretta and Desert Eagle
What.
M1911: 1911
Beretta M9: 1990
Desert Eagle: 1982
I'm assuming they don't mean literally inspired by.

My guess is they mean in terms of gameplay.
Just preordered on steam and got a copy of Mp1 & MP2, anyone want?
Edit: Max payne 2 given away.
I'm hoping MP3 saves every single casing and dropped magazine, I love that attention to detail.
I'm hoping MP3 has quicksaving. Much prefer that over checkpoints.

Took me so long to re-used to quicksaving properly while replaying, but it's a much better method of playing.

You should call your mod Pain in the Ass
I'm hoping MP3 saves every single casing and dropped magazine, I love that attention to detail.
It do.
I'm hoping MP3 has quicksaving. Much prefer that over checkpoints.
It don't.

As much as I recommend and appreciate the quicksave system, in my own control I forget to hit the quicksave button, end up dying because of a silly mistake, and having to start off far away.
I would fine the checkpoint system useful to my, and possibly others' with the same non-issues, benefits.
There were like three places in Max Payne 2 where I used a manual save, so that I can return to them later. Most of them featured a cool ragdoll fall off a scaffolding or building or something.

Said it before and I'll say it again, that model for max is looks great.
Played Max Payne 1 & 2 on the PC since I played the original which was released for the PC only originally. I'm thinking of getting the third one for the 360 for the multiplayer as I always prefer the Xbox Live experience of multiplayer. How was Max Payne 2 on the Xbox/PS2 control-wise? I will always be more accurate and better on a mouse and keyboard because I grew up playing games like that but will the controls on a console be too much of a handicap overall? What are you guys planning to play it on?
Well this sucks, the sounds for MP1 sound like a skullfucked chiptune.

This, perhaps: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=848215
Already found it, thanks anyway.
This is perhaps the only one thing that Steam sucks at: selling oldies that work proper instead of needing a truckload of 4th party programs to run them. Once, I spent 3 HOURS trying to get Knights Of The Old Republic to work.
just remembered i have max 1 &2 as gifts on steam. anyone want them?
