Max Payne Series - Megathread - Games

How are you supposed to kill the armoured enemies? I just keep shooting until I run out of ammo, wasting a couple of painkillers on them. I mean, is there a strategy for beating them other than shoot as much as you can?

I played the game for few hours and only recently I found out that you can vault over objects, I just did the slow motion dive to get over stuff :v: also what's up with the [sp] hobo with a shotgun who blows up part of the building [/sp]

Cover didn't seem to help me there, I just got out of cover and inched to the right so I could get a shot at them each individually. Managed to use that method and didn't even get hit on Hard.

How big is the Steam download? About to travel away soon and want to know if I'll be able to download it within the next two days.

aaa this game is awesome feels so max payne-ey, i love when a sequel to an old series ends up being good. just got to the part where max [sp]shaves his HEAD[/sp] and so far i've not been disappointed one bit

I've come to really hate the multiplayer there's just so many problems with it, gun/perk imbalances to name some. It's a shame because the single player is so good.

What? I love the multiplayer. Feels like an action movie or something just jumping around and shooting and shit, It's amazing. Pure awesomeness. I've won every single deathmatch game I've played so far, running around with a singe M1911 most of the time. Are people just bad or something? [editline]3rd June 2012[/editline] What I love is that pistols can actually be used as a main weapon, even if you only use a single one.

One thing I love about max payne 3 is how all the pre rendered cinematics are 1080p and not some shitty compressed 720p crap like most developers do.

I love the animation and character physics too, like GTA IV but better (mostly thinking of when you are drunk in gta).

i hope they fix crashing when loading ingame and nerf the mini

Well, bought this game without a single hitch. I've been playing through MP quite a bit. It's awesome. I'm having trouble connecting to games though for whatever reason. I was able to play anything I wanted last night but now I can't connect to a single match no matter what mode today. It's frustrating because I'd like to assume it's a matchmaking issue and not my connection (which wouldn't be all surprising to be honest). Cheaters in this game are a pain in the ass though. I naively assumed that because the game is so new that nobody would have any cheats yet but obviously that's not true. Still, I'm sure a few necessary patches will fix many issues. Also sent an invite out to the FAPS crew!

How long is singleplayer if you play through it without dying?

Can't play multiplayer for some reason, options are greyed out, social club works fine, can play LAN, can't access marketplace either.
