It's nice that no one realizes how OP the FAL is. I'm always the only one using it in a match, which usually ends like this. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/596972801480466810/13225A907C6158880D2DC1FF231672605D700C0F/[/t] I give the gun 2 weeks until everyone starts using it.
It does seem to have pretty heavy recoil though. It's the first AR you get after the AK, right? [editline]6th June 2012[/editline]
SAY GOODBYE, MOTHERFFFFFFFFF- So yeah, replaying campaign on Medium for clue and golden gun hunts. First playthrough on Easy was marveling at the game; second playthrough's nitpicking for foreshadowing and technical issues. And goddamn are some of the transitions from cutscene-to-gameplay annoying. Whether it's always switching to the pistols except in sniping or vehicle segments (and sometimes putting a new pistol, revolver or M10 over whatever you had previously), to segments that have small breaks between cutscenes for no relative reason, really. And most annoyingly, situations that sort of just give a middle finger to you no matter what you do; one transition at the [sp]Branco offices[/sp] literally throws you into a gunfight while you're still not standing in cover. The enemies don't fire right away, to give you a second and all, but i'm pretty sure the same thing happens later on in the game a couple times as well. The insane accuracy is a nightmare even on Medium when they randomly decide to either slightly injure you or take off half your health bar with a single bullet, no joke. And, while not too much of a problem on PCs unless you're just not good at aiming, headshots are so damn essential because later enemies can practically absorb an entire magazine from a FAL into their flak jacket chests and yet [sp]even when you get your own[/sp] you're so vulnerable all the way through, except in vehicle segments. Combine this with the Campaign's habit of not saving the exact chapter you're on when you quit and, for some reason, not registering your actions at random (making Golden Gun and clue hunts pointless if the game doesn't save 'em), and it's more frustrating than it really should be. Not to mention, it feels like the patch just made the connectivity problems worse. Man, I vented too much. It's still a great game and all, but now i'm just not seeing it as positively as I was when I first played through.
[sp]I actually lost my flak vest random in a cutscene and never got it back. :( [/sp]
So how is the game, folks? I heard it's fun but how optimized it is? And 26gb is a hell of a size, I guess I'll have to look for a physical copy of the game.

Very solid game all around in my opinion.

It is one of the best games I have ever played for sure. Only a handful of complaints. The official size of the game is 35 GB, which is true if you happen to be planning on getting the Rockstar Pass or getting the majority of the DLC.
Hnnnnnnnng i want to play past chapter six but this glitch still won't prompt me to switch discs. The worst thing is that the first time i got to the prompt i figured that was enough for the day, went to multiplayer and unknowingly wasted the chance.
Can't you use the discs to install the game to your 360's HDD?
You need to have the disk in the system. Installing it just decreases load time.
G3 is the well and above the most overpowered gun in any game ever made. The BFG9000 has nothing on it. A blind no handed, disease ridden corpse could after death twitch that thing and it would hit the eyelashes off a fly traveling at the speed of sound at well over 17 nautical miles. Seriously, it one hits in the pinkie toe.

Can I join the facepunch crew even though I have the game on console not PC? Or do I have to join the 'Facepunch Consoles' one? I'm just curious why it matters if your on PC or console
Man, a few FAPS members and I destroyed some f00ls. Good times.
I love the multiplayer, I really do (when there aren't connection issues) but I seem to be running into more hackers as of late. Just in three rounds tonight, two of them had hackers in it. One of which had a guy that was completely invulnerable with the grenade launcher you can only acquire at higher ranks than what he was at.

So, high level grenade launcher, invulnerable, and camping our cap point for the bag (this was in the Gang Wars mode).

Wouldn't be surprised if they can use any item, attachment or otherwise, too... This game must be almost as easy to cheat in as Grand Theft Auto 4 was, at this rate. Google searched for trainers and there's a single released one with some hidden password you can only get via buying or doing deals on a host site, so people are taking advantage of the early cheating spree to try and make cash already.
It's so optimized that you wouldn't even believe it.
That's really good to know.
Physical copy is 4 discs and it took me about an hour and twenty minutes to install it. It is one of the best games I have ever played for sure. It's probably going to be the first game in a long time that I'll have to use 4 discs to install. :v:
is there a way to play singleplayer with the max payne 1 face model because that would be unbelievably funny
is there a way to play singleplayer with the max payne 1 face model because that would be unbelievably funny
The closest you'll get is the Arcade and New York Minute modes at this point
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/5893-Max-Payne-3 Hit the nail on the head this time. I agree about Max constantly being depressed about every single thing. A little more optimism would have been nice, even if it was just in a closing narration.
Played both single and multi for hours and Social Club stats still isn't tracking for me, it's fine for singleplayer since the game is still saving albeit no achievements and stats. But no matter how many times I rank up and play multiplayer, once I exit I revert to rank 1 with all unlocks gone. :( Anyone have any idea what could be causing the problem? I tried asking on Rockstar's support and twitter and they still haven't responded for a while now, would really like to play the multiplayer but it's really getting tedious having to start from scratch every time I have to take a break

Does anyone have sort of broken cutscenes/kill cams? Often one of the panels in the multi panel cutscene either won't show, or will show a flickering image of my last checkpoint. Same with when I die. Also some of my cutscenes run poorly, and then as soon as they jump into gameplay it's smooth as butter again. What's up wit that?
The beginning of the last mission is a motherfucker because you don't get much cover. I will have to keep practicing that part and [sp]the part with Becker and his grenade launcher[/sp] before I try NYM Hardcore so I don't lose on any of those parts. The rest of the game is no problem.
What difficulty are the arcade and new york minute modes on?
What difficulty are the arcade and new york minute modes on?
Medium
Looking at the facemaps of the classic characters, they look creepier then the original facemaps. For example, here is MP2 Max: [img_thumb]http://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/47603head_diff_000_a_whi.png[/img_thumb] And the HD Mona: [img_thumb]http://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/82508head_diff_000_a_whi.png[/img_thumb]
how do you open these? i want to get regular max's face texture

Just came back from Max Payne 3 marathon which took me more than 8 hours. The game was a fucking blast. Rockstar did a good job at ending the game. The final scene was overly satisfying. And I must take off my hat before Rockstar for this insanely good optimisation. Even with my rig it ran on everything Very High with stable 60+ fps.
best part about max payne 3
Comon, bro. not cool, bro. why would you do that, bro? push the buttons, bro! brrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooo. fucking passos
