Depends where you got it from. I think only Steam has it for the standard edition. GameStop/EB Games/GAME have the Cemetery multiplayer map and the pill bottle item in the standard edition. I don't think Amazon/Wal-Mart/Best Buy have any specials, and if they did, it would probably be the Cemetery map. The classic characters pack is really just a timed exclusive. You'll be able to get it a few weeks after. No word on if it's paid DLC or free. Hell, no word on all of the characters who are in it. That info should be coming in the next few weeks.
Well damn that sucks. Oh well, I guess I can wait. Supposedly one of the multiplayer skins in the pack is Mona.
Classic Multiplayer Character Pack of eight playable multiplayer characters for Max Payne 3 Multiplayer, including fan favorites from the original Max Payne and Max Payne 2 like Max Payne from Max Payne 2, Mona Sax and Vladimir Lem.
Here's also a thing for anybody who hasn't seen it for some reason: [t]http://media.rockstargames.com/rockstargames/img/global/news/upload/maxpayne3_specialedition_large0111212011.jpg[/t] It's wrong. Special edition is for sale up until release because of GAME closing.
If I had to take a guess on the Multiplayer skins besides Max, Mona, and Vlad, it's easy to narrow it down. First, figure out who were in both games: 1) Max Payne 2) Mona Sax 3) Vladimir Lem 4) Vinnie Gognitti 5) Jim Bravura 6) Alfred Woden (somehow) And I'm guessing the last two are other major characters: 7) Valerie Winterson 8) Nicole Horne
I'd love to have a gamemode where everyone plays in cpt. baseball bat boy suit and when someone dies, their head explodes causing a lot of damage to nearby players. It would be total carnage in small and tight levels :v:
Hahaha, that would be sweet. Oh my god - I think that's actually an awesome idea. When the game starts rolling in, and they announce DLC content - if that has nothing to do with any of it, you should totally request it. Rockstar's has proved to be good with fan requests for DLC, so if you could get enough supporters, perhaps that will come to life. I personally would support it all the way.
6) Alfred Woden (somehow)
All I can imagine is Woden riding around in a wheel chair with a couple of Ingrams duct taped to the sides.
Just finished MP2 on Dead on Arrival, I nearly punched my monitor during the final sequence at the Woden manor.
Damn, I would buy the Special Edition to get the classic characters but they're only sold for consoles in Russia. (:downs:) [editline]1st May 2012[/editline] Playing as Vlad Lem and kicking ass. [editline]1st May 2012[/editline] I guess I'll just pre-order it on steam to get the in-game stuff, shame I won't get a box though.

Rockstar's just announced Max Payne 3's DLC plans for 2012
Today we're happy to announce Max Payne 3 downloadable content plans with a full lineup of multiplayer content planned for release this summer and beyond, starting with the Local Justice Map Pack coming in June. Players will also be able to order the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass to get all of the upcoming DLC at a special discounted rate, compared to purchasing each pack individually. Starting today, the Rockstar Pass can be pre-ordered for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network from Best Buy or GameStop in the United States (or pre-ordered for PSN directly from the PlayStation Store). The Rockstar Pass grants you access to all upcoming Max Payne 3 DLC and will be available for 2400 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE), or $29.99 (PlayStation Network and PC) – over a 35% discount compared to purchasing the content individually. Once purchased, the Rockstar Pass enables gamers to download all DLC releasing through the end of 2012 via the in-game store as soon as it is made available on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, or PC. The Local Justice Map Pack, coming in June, will include the Police Precinct map for Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer multiplayer modes. The pack will also feature two additional maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer, new precinct-themed multiplayer avatar items, multiplayer challenges, and more. Check out the current release schedule (individual release dates and pricing info will be announced soon) for Max Payne 3 downloadable content packs below and stay tuned for additional packs to be revealed at a later date: June 2012 • Local Justice Map Pack Summer 2012 • Disorganized Crime Map Pack • Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack • Hostage Negotiation Map Pack • New York Minute Co-Op Pack Fall 2012 • Painful Memories Map Pack • Trickle Down Economics Map Pack
I see a serious lack of singleplayer content in that list of DLC. I don't know how i feel about this.
Wouldn't really give a shit about any of them but then I noticed • Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack • New York Minute Co-Op Pack :dawkins101:
I hope there is no need for singleplayer dlc, since the story should be complete with just the game. I'm not into purchasing dlc's anyways. I'm pretty sure you can play coop maps solo.
Fuckit, i hate dlcs...especially CoD-like dlcs...
I guess I will wait for the GOTY edition hopefully coming October or November.
I guess I will wait for the GOTY edition hopefully coming October or November.
Or you could just, you know, not buy the DLCs. [editline]1st May 2012[/editline]
I see a serious lack of singleplayer content in that list of DLC. I don't know how i feel about this.
Why the fuck would there be singleplayer DLC for this?
Why the fuck would there be singleplayer DLC for this?
I don't see why not, Assuming the campaign is fun then more of it would be nice imo.
Guess I'll enjoy my 5 standard maps while everyone else will be having fun on 30 DLC ones.
I don't see why not, Assuming the campaign is fun then more of it would be nice imo.
But that would mean the core game wouldn't have the complete story, which would be fucking retarded.
But that would mean the core game wouldn't have the complete story, which would be fucking retarded.
Could always do it like the infamous 2 DLC, A "What if" Kind of story. Without vampires of course.
can you preorder it for pc after the console versions come out but before the pc release? i would like some of the preorder bonuses, but I want to make sure it lives up to the hype first
Co-Op option? In my Max Payne 3? Damn, that sounds great. Does the normal version have a Co-Op?
can you preorder it for pc after the console versions come out but before the pc release? i would like some of the preorder bonuses, but I want to make sure it lives up to the hype first
Considering that pre-orders stay up all the way up to the release I don't see why you could not. But it is going to live up to the hype.
• New York Minute Co-Op Pack
Too bad all those DLCs will be unavailable for Russia, because 1C.
Co-Op option? In my Max Payne 3? Damn, that sounds great. Does the normal version have a Co-Op?
My guess is that coop is a normal thing in the game and the new york minute pack adds timed missions.
My guess is that coop is a normal thing in the game
Sounds cool, just blasting away mobsters while bullets fly about in slow motion. I hope the Co-Op mode is true. I'll be carefully optimistic about this.
Even though I'm not a big fan of the DLC, I'll still probably buy the pass just like I did L.A. Noire. I'm just a sucker for Max Payne.
Co-op sounds like something that would fit perfectly into Max Payne 3. Lets all hope and pray it exists. Anyway, I really liked the DLC from Red Dead Redemption. I don't regret buying it one bit... Hopefully Max Payne 3's is the same.
The Painful Memories DLC pack sounds interesting though, I want to shoot through the Address Unknown fun house. But that's just plain optimism really.
