Is it bad that the only way I can have fun is to have duel-wielded pistols? I actually have a lot of fun having one 1911, gorilla mask, and the perk that makes you silent. Running around just using melee is fun!
I think the game's ending felt slightly weak because it lacked a closing narration. All the other games had it, but this one just had nothing. It would have been nice to have some final thoughts from Max.

In my opinion Max Payne 2 had the best ending.

This beautiful writing is nowhere to be found in Max Payne 3.

Sam Lake didn't write Max Payne 3.
You gotta give R* credit for at least trying to mimic Sam Lake's beautiful flow.
Why did you leave the crew, HUH!?
FAPS is a fucking embarassing name, and I don't play any crew games.
In unrelated news, I joined a Payne Killer match with a cheater.

I got a buttload of points for getting 'hits' on the invincible guy.

The writing in Max Payne 3 was much better than I thought it was going to be. You all knew Sam Lake wasn't writing it, so nobody should be disappointed at Dan Houser's/whoever's writing. They did a great job, given the circumstances.

R* said they were going to deal with cheaters with the next patch. The cheaters think they are invincible now but I'm going to love it when they are banned.
Disabling mouse acceleration made me go from second to last place to second in multiplayer games. I can't believe how much difference it made, but I guess Max Payne is a series where you need precision-ass controls.
How?
How?
Make a commandline.txt in the main Max Payne 3 folder (with the exes) and put -nomouseaccel in it.
I'm not very optimistic about what Rockstar have in plan to get rid of all the cheaters.
or enter -nomouseaccel in launch options if you have the steam version
I'm really starting to hate the multiplayer. It was fun when I was playing rookie games or when everyone was still finding their play styles, but now it's just a shitload of campers or people running around with ridiculously overpowered weapons.
It's annoying as shit when you're trying to run around and keep a fast paced game when the other team just sits across the map and blows you to shit. I want a faster paced gamemode dammit.

Honestly I know what you mean. I usually use my AK or MPK for fun, but when people pull out the G3s or whatever I just take my Mini-30 or dualies with extended mags and even the field a little.
Sometimes it's more fun fighting fire with a little napalm, if you know what I mean.
Sent a crew invite with the name YesManKablam. Help a newbie out.

it's annoying being the only guy who doesn't exclusively use body armor and an assault rifle, there is no damn variety.

I know. I love playing really agile light classes, because it's fun to run around and jump everywhere. Unfortunately two body shots pretty much does me over because everyone else is playing tank mode where they just equip the strongest armor.
I want movement and agility, and the other people don't even give two shits about that.
It's why the two best maps in the game are hoboken and the nightclub rooftop.

Branco Office. You can force campers to suffer by playing directly contrasting what they're doing and being fast and clever with the map lay out. Once you level up to 20 and up, life is a lot easier.

that map has the worst spawns
like you dont even need to be fast and clever you literally just run forward a bit and you'll see a guy with his back turned
I'm actually doing good messing around with the rpg. Anywhere close to you it will bounce around like mad but i am usually in the top 3. I also have backup dual pt92s to do ridiculous shootdodges. Diving off the bus depot is my fav.

I like that map a lot, but even on a 4v4 it starts to get cluttered. Yeah it's pretty much the best anti-camp map, but the mechanics basically center around running the perimeter of the map until you walk into someone's back.
Still, great fun for a 2v2 or 3v3.
One of the later multiplayer map packs, Painful Memories, sounds almost like it's going to have remakes from Max Payne 1/2. If it is, Ragnarok is almost definitely going to be in it because it was in both games. Woden's mansion seems like it would transfer pretty well, too.
I'd love a NYC train station type map. Maybe even with trains that pass by every so often. It'd make for some cinematic slowmo dives while a train passes by.
Just watched the Max Payne film for the first time. I honestly didn't think it was as bad as everyone says. I always keep my expectations low for adaptations though, so I'm rarely devastated. Once the shooting started I didn't have many complaints. The only weird thing was the [sp]Valkyr and hallucinations, especially when Max used it.[/sp]

Wait Nightclub rooftop is a map? I've never even played it yet.

Deathmatch - Quite a good one.

Same, but everyone votes for branco HQ every single time.
Also, RPG is already level 6 and i've only had it for one level so far :v
e: two levels, i only need 40 xp to progress to 22
I don't understand why it takes about 5 minutes to load a level in campaign but playing the same level in NYM it will boot up immediately.
i love Rockstar so much
Even though I'm not in need of boxes, I'd like to ask this question:
How do you raise your weapon levels? Just by using the weapons, or is there more to it?
Man, this game is really nicely optimized, I'm surprised I can run it in dx10 with max settings (I don't have a dx11 capable card, sadly.)
