Max Payne Series - Megathread - Games

Yeah the MP is getting a bit lackluster. Kind of reminds me of Mass Effect 3's: surprisingly fun at first then dull once you've played it for a few hours. I do like the Paynekiller mode though, I wish there were more New Jersey levels in it like the cemetery or maybe levels from MP1 and 2.

Paynekiller has some really bad spawns at times, other than that it's probably my favourite gamemode.

Something about running around lugging a rifle while pulling out a 1911 pistol for close quarters is cool.

Goddammit. I can't start the game up normally. Instead I have to start it up in safe mode, adjust my settings and then restart the game again. And then hope that it doesn't get stuck in the loading screen. Like it has now. But I can't really hate the game. Any game that lets me shoot people resembling the Jersey Shore cast is a shining diamond in my books. I also love how challenging the game is (playing on hard). Once I press enter it just stays at loading, but it hasn't crashed as the title screen animation and music still work. [editline]13th June 2012[/editline] So apparently I've been playing the damn game with the lowest possible graphics this whole time because safe mode doesn't save any fucking graphical options. [editline]13th June 2012[/editline] The game crashes at startup if my graphical settings are too high. What do? Can anybody lend a hand? [editline]13th June 2012[/editline] I figured out the problem. My game crashes if I go beyond DX9. But I have Win7 and a DX11 compatible v-card.

The multiplayer is fun but there's no real meat to it, I even thought about purchasing the season pass before I played but I don't know if I want to bother.

Played a TDM today and got accused of hacking...by someone on my own team. I didn't take it personally because he ended the match with a 3-24 k/d. I guess now that hacks are so rampant the game is slowly turning into "everyone's a hacker because I suck." Had a 24-12 k/d. That's nothing worth boasting about. I guess I was bad hacker. Apparently I'm 8th in the Crew? It said something about ranking last I checked. I'm very surprised if that's legit.

I just got the game only a few days ago and been playing the multiplayer pretty much since then every day. Problem is I keep getting disconnected when it was never a problem initially.

Changes the view from one shoulder to the other.

You should bind it to something else for easy access.

Not sure how this happened I just got shot, then instead of the regular death screen, it was just one window showing what was happening in that one spot in real time My mini map worked and i could still run around. Just won my first Rookie Deathmatch, complete with spamming F as the Max Payne 2 model. A little weird that he basically screams out lines from the previous games in his new gritty voice, but oh well, awesome references as it is. Something about this multiplayer frustrates me, but i'm not sure what yet.
