He's right about the cutscenes. It's rather confusing why it takes so long to load a level, even for people with high end hardware. Do we know if the game loads anything while you're actually playing a level?
Somehow, the part of the story I can't get out of my head is when [sp]Max busts into Beckers office, starts strangling him and bellows "I KNOOOOW EEEEEEEEVVEERRRRRYYYYYYTTHIIIIIIIINNGG!!![/sp]. It was hilarious and awesome at the same time.
All the yelling at that part was the best thing in the whole game for me

I felt pretty down to earth with Max when he yelled "GOD DAMMIT!" when [sp]becker and victor got away[/sp]
Also: I played and beat the game on hard with free aim but didn't unlock infinite painkillers. What the fuck!? When I initially play games at first I play on easy because I rather have the story than difficulty, but when I saw "omg infinite painkillers u beet hard w free aim" I just had to replay the entire story again so I could unlock it.. and it didn't unlock.
did it have to be completely free aim with none of those other options that help out your aim like when it slows down if you move your cursor over an enemy and stuff? if so
Fuck.

Did you unlock Old School mode or Hardcore mode? Because I didn't unlock anything for beating it on hard.

You see Rockstar's problem is that they made the loading times the same for EVERYONE, no matter how beefy your rig is, which is really just not right
you have to beat it on hard by clicking new story, you can't just do all of the levels through the level select, coming from a guy who beat it on hard from the start
I guess that means I have to do it all in one sitting. Fuck that.
no, it just means you have to keep that 1 save, ala quiting and resuming the campaign will only be possible by clicking resume campaign or w/e
Well, the campaign saving also has a habit of not doing it accurately - it didn't record some of the golden guns I got on the playthrough, and when I wanted to resume from Chapter 5, the game threw me to the last checkpoint before the end of Chapter 4 Part 1.
Do flash grenades affect teammates? I know tear gas does.
Did you unlock Old School mode or Hardcore mode? Because I didn't unlock anything for beating it on hard.
I unlocked both old school mode and hardcore mode when beating it on hard with free aim. If you beat the game on Old School/hardcore do you still unlock unlimited painkillers? or is it only on hard mode?
There is a guy in FP Max Payne steam group called NoFerall who sent me a link to a phishing site claiming it's a site with free steam gifts. Maybe we should remove him from group?
Sadly no mods for Max Payne 3 can be released at the moment.
Because of the lack of importers god fucking damnit, you can use Open IV to actually browse and export files, but not importing files back in.
That's retarded. I was about to do some cool shit.

Uh, what's retarded about that?
uh you can export files and modify them but not importing them back to make your mod work, so it's totally pointless ?
uh.
uuuuuuuhhhh you can export files and modify them but not importing them back to make your mod work, so it's totally pointless ?
uuuuuuhhhh ?
Well yeah, because they haven't done the way to do that, making modding tools for games isn't easy you know. You can still open and look trough the files and that's still some progress.
Please don't talk about something you obviously don't know.
Max Payne 3 files has almost the same architecture as GTA IV files. Make your own conclusions about your " progress " and " it's hard ".

Almost the same, not exactly the same, there's a reason they made any kind of tools in such a short time, just because something looks the same doesn't mean it is exactly the same.
Like i said, you absolutely don't know what you're talking about, in fact ,you should shut your mouth about that.
The path, the files extension, the way to edit them is the same on every level, the reason behind the lack of tools isn't " hurrr fucking duuurrr it's hard and shit " but because nobody adapted the existing GTA IV tools to fit on Max Payne 3 ( except Open IV, and it was done two days after MP3 release, wow, looks hard son ).

Yeah and they're working on it, if it was exactly the same and was so easy they'd have the tools fully done by now. They haven't, so obviously it's not exactly the same.

Anyone know where I can submit a report for cheating/hacking.
Just came across someone in Payne Killer who had god mode and unlimited grenades... And I recorded it
I can't stand TotalBiscuit.
He thought Portal 2 was bad because wheatley had a southern accent (when he in fact has a west country accent) and the puzzles were too easy (when he'd only played the first half an hour)
Like here, he spends half the fucking cutscene singing over them or not paying attention or bitching about how he can't run in a circle whilst people talk, and then he says he doesn't like the story when he hasn't even heard what's been fucking going on.
Yeah I agree, I wrote this comment:
TB's opinion on the game was completely pathetic. I bought the game and I've already played 50 hours.
He doesn't explain that you can skip cutscenes by pressing enter after they load. On a second play through I can usually skip the cutscenes instantly.
He also doesn't express how well the action was done. It's not the same exact game as max payne 1 or 2, which is a good thing in a sequel.
And he completely sucks at the multiplayer. Seriously TB learn to set up your kills, god.
I was limited in what I could say, making it hard to be 100% accurate in everything I said. But I got the general point out.
Within seconds my comment was rated up to 12, making it the top rated comment. But then totalhalibut's butthurt fanbase flipped a shit, replying with numerous stupid comments supporting TB's god awful first impressions of the game, and I watched the comment sink back down to 0. Most of these people have not bought or played the game themselves, they just worship this overly cynical fucktard and because of that MP3 will probably lose a good number of sales, which was underwhelming in the first place.
I mean the cutscenes were a bit long, sure, but it doesn't ruin the entire game.
In your opinion. In his opinion, the heavy use of cutscenes makes the game worse (he never said it was terrible or anything). What's wrong with that?
What's wrong about that is sticking to your first impression and not giving the game a chance. It's something you just can't do if you want to give a professional review.
I hated the cutscenes and the extremely linear gameplay too at first, but I decided to wait and give the game a chance, and after the stadium level it finally began to draw me in. Right now I'm loving it so much that I'm only playing it bit by bit, repeating levels in arcade mode before I continue the story, so that it lasts longer.
