Wonderful, now my game is crashing at the Auto Updater everytime I start it.

I can't start the game either.
EDIT: Restarted Steam. Works now. Dual weapons are still OP.
*-snip*-
Steam only lists these for patch notes:
-Security fixes
-Various bug/stability fixes
-MSAA white outline fix
-Various multi-head improvements
-Text chat added to lobbies by default
-Mouse acceleration setting added to controls menu
-Aspect ratio setting added to the graphics menu
Did PC get a different patch or are these in addition to the notes listed on the rockstar site?
Didn't notice any balance changes. Also, what's Payne Threshold. It shows up in the main multiplayer menu, but it's greyed out.
Also, there's a Chrome Plating added. It says it is unlocked "somehow". Any ideas?
Connection lost issue still there :(

Probably upcoming DLC content that they are teasing or accidentally released early.
I think the update fucked with my game. Could play on full max settings and have practically no framerate loss whatsoever. Now, post-update, the game is suddenly choking in the main menu, big time.
I really wish they would fix the issue where it takes 5 minutes of waiting at a multiplayer loading screen to actually get in a game.
Verified my cache, messed with settings, and all I can say is that the update probably fucked up my game or suddenly my computer is not working as it should be. Not sure which.
If it's the former, goddammit Rockstar.

Okay, restarted my computer when I noticed something odd. I'd been playing TTT in Gmod before trying to boot up Max Payne 3, and at one point my FPS dipped and stayed there with a loose mouse reaction. Something in my comp must've been buggered up; rebooting caused both Gmod and MP3 to run smoothly again. So it wasn't the update, whew. :v:
man.... the Airport is fucking hell i keep dying becouse 1 bullet hit me while i was standing up
nevermind.
Not quite as priceless as Max Payne 1's faces, but...

So were there any balance changes? I haven't been able to notice any.
I have just beaten Max Payne on my Android tablet. I love it.
there's auto-aim and the ability to skip levels (like the Valkyr dreams and the restaurant escape), though I suggest to use a controller on harder difficulties
What were your control settings?
You could say I love this level.

Am I the only one who thinks that Max Payne 2 is the worst in the series? I'm not saying it's bad, but it's the point in the series where things started to get way too serious. Sure, the first game was dark and noir, but it was still very silly overall. I think the main character's name kind of gives that away.
But then in Max Payne 2, everything is played totally straight, and it just feels weird. And it's also very inconsistent. You still get the funny TV shows and enemy conversations, but now it's all taking place in the context of a totally serious tragic love story. And Max's ability to slow down time and dodge bullets feels incredibly out of place. I guess what I'm saying is, the comic book cutscenes and the gameplay almost feel like two totally unrelated things.
Also, maybe it's just me, but Max Payne 2 doesn't seem to have that many interesting levels. Just about everywhere felt like some kind of construction site, and the pacing feels a little off. And the shooting felt way too soft, like the enemies are just animated dolls stuffed with red powder or something. Plus, I was never a fan of the Mona levels.
Anyway, I still like the first game the most, since it felt like an epic journey for vengeance that kept getting progressively more intense and conspiratorial.
what I didn't like about max payne 2 is that max didn't really seem like max...
because in max payne 1 he was almost always smiling, it gave it a dark, twisted edge especially in the comic cutscenes
max payne 2 felt too serious in comparison, even for just that reason. really, take everything that happened in MP2, and give max that quirky smile the whole way through and it'd have worked so much better IMO
The third one is the worst in the series, it's not bad at all, but it's the least memorable of the 3.
Feels more like die hard, like someone else said earlier, it's really different from the last 2, which isn't bad, but it just doesn't feel like max payne, at least for me.
I have the season pass, so I guess i'll be getting that dlc...
[editline]27th June 2012[/editline]
By the way, those prices are very reasonable. $2 for a map sounds about right, maybe a bit pricier than i'd want, but still about right.
I sent you a PM
for the crew thing
[editline]27th June 2012[/editline]
i can't be part of facepunch's crew, right? ):
[editline]27th June 2012[/editline]
nevermind, just saw the invitation c:!
They should have made a DLC that would have included the Dead Man Walking gamemode.
Considering that every single fucking game has to have a horde mode these days, i'm kind of glad they didn't to be honest.
Just because a lot of other games have a similar horde mode doesn't mean it's not loads of fun. DMW was always a blast in the older Max Payne games.
Considering that every single fucking game has to have a horde mode these days, i'm kind of glad they didn't to be honest.
Yeah eww it can't be fun because other games use it. In fact lets just get rid of guns because their in cod!!1
I'm not saying that they couldn't have pulled it off, just that the co-op dead man walking stages coming out later on will be a lot more original and take more effort and be more fun than I think a cookie cutter horde mode would be.
Coop dead man walking is almost the exact same thing as a horde mode.

I think it was only in Max Payne 2. And I honestly didn't enjoy it that much at all. There were barely any levels for it, and the levels were never that interesting.
But that doesn't mean they can't make it cooler in Max Payne 3. I think it would be a nice addition.
