Well this sucks, just got Max Payne 3 and I when I run it the game is stuck at the legal information then crashes. Tried reinstalling to no luck and then some fix on the steam forums which did nothing.

I fixed this issue by updating my video card drivers.
Holy shit the sniper rifle is fucking ridiculous. Every game there is at least two faggots using it.
Its true we're all gay, Why else would we have a section for massdebating with eachother.
I massdebated with some of my coworkers today.
I'm curious, who beat the game on easy? If you did, were the Classic and Old School outfits in available in the Arcade modes? Were all the other outfits in there as well?
Rockstar Vancouver closing doors and relocating to Rockstar Toronto.
Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games announced some major changes to its Canadian game studios: Namely, that it's dissolved Rockstar Vancouver, one of the major contributing studios behind Max Payne 3, to refocus its efforts on another Canadian studio, Rockstar Toronto.

Despite closing down the Vancouver branch, Rockstar said it hopes to retain the 35 employees at the studio, and has offered the staff positions at Rockstar Toronto, which is relocating to a new, larger office in Oakville, Ontario.
You can't get arcade costumes until you beat the game on normal.
Finally got the game to work and finished the campaign, it was a pretty fun experience all the way through(except some very annoying sections of the game).
Ending was a bit of tease sadly
I am working on beating the game on hardcore, and holy shit is it a payne in the ass. Why do enemies survive so many AK rounds and kill me with two shots from theirs. It is like I am playing Far Cry 2.
I am at the uptown favela right now.

The worst part is you can die at any point instantly by headshots
In that mission they just seem impossible to kill, even on hard difficulty.
My entire first playthrough was on hard and it was hard, but easier than Max Payne 1 on normal difficulty.
how to beat any difficulty:
1. carefully walk around every corner with your weapon aimed at head level
2. pixel hunt for enemy heads as you go around the corner
goes without saying but
3. bullet time spam so you can pop enemy heads one after the other and not get insta-pegged by bullets
Kinda sucks you can't do that much cool bullet time and jumping around stuff because you'll just get mowed down with bullets
I was having a piss and thinking i cant remember if we have ever seen max payne cry ?

(MP1 spoiler)[sp]When his wife died[/sp] Although its hard to tell because of how blurry everything is.
Also is it just me or does [sp]Max payne look older in the prequel chapters than current Max[/sp]

And another time in MP3 intro, after drinking his ass numb and throwing the picture of his wife against the wall.

The prequel chapters are set a few weeks before he goes to Brazil.

And Max is on the boat chapter during a few weeks?

The beard makes him look younger I think.

I guess it hides his wrinkles
Max is probably in his early to mid 40's during Max Payne 3.
Speaking of age, the line where he references his wife as someone he has grieved over longer then knowing her was brilliant. Sad, but brilliant.
It wasn't all that impressive.
I think Max only knew his wife about a year, according to the comics.

You know the shooting range in [sp]the police station?[/sp] Bullet time saved my life there. I was out of pain killers, one shot away from death, and facing that entire room of men. There wasn't enough cover to shoot from so I decided that I may as well go down in a blaze of glory. Hit bullet time and rush out blasting away at everyone. I killed about 9 guys, and with my bullet time running out there was one guy left. As the last guy trained his rifle on me, I made a desperate shoot dodge to the right and nailed him with my last few bullets. After reveling in my handiwork and the fact that I didn't take a single bullet, another guy bursts in, sees the carnage, and surrenders and I'm all like "damn right". Then I walk into the next room and get shot by a guy hiding with a shotgun.

I got past that part by just hiding behind some bags and waiting for the cops to rush around the corner before filling them with lead

There's usually pieces of cover that are set up so you can dive between them, and I make it a habit to do it whenever I can. I only really do it if there's 2-4 people who have open site on me, I can usually drop 3 and just unload on the 4th when I hit the ground.
I just finished hardcore, it was tough but I did the difficult parts like the hotel rooftop quicker than I did on hard. Going to try Old School next, shit is going to be ridiculous.
The only gripe I have with the gameplay is the transition between rolling, getting up, and cover. If you want to go between any of those Max has to come to a full standing position, it could just be more fluid. And getting up after a dive could be quicker, I've had him get up really fast, but most of the time it's like he's getting out of bed in the morning.
